Hey man, commented earlier about my github repository, made more improvements and since your comment got me to start this script I felt the need to let you know. This works in a similar way to the old guide, however what it does is automatically scans and adds the known AWS server regions to your Firewall to block access instead of blocking it through hosts file. 100% safe as it doesnt interact with the game at all and just prevents the game servers from getting through your firewall.
