Why slide backwards in working your game after release? Trying to dumb down/make the game easier to market after selling to thousands of people is... disappointing. If anything this could have been something that should have been explored in its own way. (But I have a feeling that sales would have been poor.)

While there are cool things that this game offers, the overall experience leaves much to be desired.

Templars are fun, but yeomen are a prime example of power creep.

Could have been good, but instead turned out to be a bait and switch. (Only got a couple minor patches despite having major issues/lack of finished content)

Punish system is trash, leveling to use everything in a kit sucks. The wave of Epic players do not try to do anything but spawn shoot and die.

No steam cloud save :(

Game is decent in single player, but the devs either release OP clans or make changes that hurt the game. (They damaged the AI, made multiplayer lobbies worse, etc) If you can get the game cheap I would still say it has a good take on the RTS genre, but I do not see the game being fixed anytime soon.

As it stands, DRM hurts the paying customer more then the pirates that can either circumvent or outright remove said DRM. No one needs extra process added to a game so that way you can pretend to sell more copies to people who were not going to make the purchase to begin with.

The game has done a lot of cool new things like 8 player games, a massive map and more. But the pricing model has been horrible with the level of support the game gets. However there are tons of bugs, desync issues, and dlc content being rather low value for the asking price.

I wish I could recommend this game as it does have an amazing setting and could be a ton of fun with friends, but I will not after recent design choices/pricing changes. I hope funneling money into a hero shooter pans out for you CA.

The game is one of the more fun battlefield games due to tanks not being immortal. They are a blast to use while still being able to die.


Update: 2/23/2023 After a full reinstall the game now works. I am not sure if it was due to leftover files from Origin or if there was a patch via EA-play that fixed the issue.
