Early Access Review
After the first ~10 hours: I love it.
Finally a factory-builder that gives me the same feelings as Satisfactory.
Many things that are really close to it and enough thats different, to be it's own new experience.
After playing Satisfactory for over 1k hours, it feels amazing to get the same kind of excitement and curiosity from a similar game again.

Also: I love the Atmosphere, graphics, etc., the performance is good and the Rupture is really epic to watch even after multiple times.

A few things I don't like / would like:
- Please give an option to disable the comments of the protagonist. I don't want to hear a comment every time I collect something or get a GG when I kill an enemy. That gets annoying quickly. And I don't want to mute dialogues completely as the talks with GAL are funny.
- I'd like some more factory-design-options, like walls, roofs, etc. so that you don't have to build so open but are able to really build factories.
- I'd like some indication, how far away the next Rupture is. Exploration is really fun in StarRupture but it's annoying to have to wait for the next Rupture as the time between the warning and the Rupture is too small too really get to safety when far away from the base.
- I kinda like the world grid but it would also be nice to be able to not build on it. Sometimes it is diagonal to a flat area and I'd like to use the shape of the area and not the predefined grid.
- PLEASE give me a Photo Mode or at least an option to disable the HUD (or if included and I'm too dumb to find it, please tell me how). The world is beautiful and the Rupture looks sooooo good. I took so many screenshots already but the HUD is annoying on them.

I am really looking forward to how the devs will continue to build this game. And I will definitely keep playing!

I can't believe, I really finished this. So many points where i were close to deleting this in a rage but I kept going and did it.
All in all I can recommend it, if you hate yourself. Controls are well made and you learn to walk quite fast.
Only the camera at the end is f-ed up.

Sadly I can't even play the Demo due to the extreme motion blur. I'm feeling sick after about a minute of playing and there is no option to turn it off. Removal of any blur effect needs to be an option. Otherwise no one with motion sickness will be able to play this. The effect is really strong.

Gefällt mir leider gar nicht. Es fühlt sich so träge an und baut bei mir gar keine Spannung auf. Bin nach kürzester Zeit schon gelangweilt. Besonders nach dem starken Remake von Silent Hill 2. Schade.

After about 2.5h I'm still really indecisive about this game.
It feels immensly like Dead Space. To an extend, that I get regulary confused, why enemies don't drop ammo, when you stomp on them. The athmosphere, the enemies, the stomping, boxes to stomp, lootable boxes on the walls, the shop with upgrade mechanics with Cores (like the power nodes), etc. etc. It just feels a whole lot like Dead Space. And this is absolutely no bad thing. I loved Dead Space (1 and 2, we don't talk about the abomination which was called Dead Space 3). So, this is generally a concept that would win me over.
I also really like the graphics and how physics in the environment work, like with floating objects which react to you touching them.

But there are a lot of small things that annoy me and accumulate.
- You can't jump. I guess this makes level design a lot easier as you don't have to worry about players finding ways to exit the boundaries but it would be nice to have. And it's annoying, that you have to trigger a little cutscene every single time, you want to drop a meter or jump over a 10 cm wide gap. It just takes away some of flow in the game.
- You can't evade, dodge or block attacks. Only way to avoid getting hit is to turn around and try to run away after every shot. I really miss more ways to avoid damage in a game which has a lot of fighting.
- The normal walking speed is really slow. Either you run or you take ages to get to another place.
- I don't like the flame-mechanics. It feels unnecessary and I find myself often just running back and forth between a dispenser and a room full of corpses for several minutes as I know, otherwise I will have a problem in an upcoming fight, when enemies consume these corpses. It's again taking away the flow of the game and it's not really fun if you are in a staircase, where you have several organic walls and your only 2 options are to run all the way up and down for every wall to get a new load of fire as you can only get 1 from the dispencer (at least in early game) or waste your valuable ammo on every single wall.

I think, if you like the genre, this could be a game for you.
If you loved the first 2 Dead Space Games, this could be 2 ways. Either you like it, as it's very similar, or you could be disappointed as it reminds you of it but you feel like playing Dead Space again would be more fun.

Right now, I would still give this a Yes, and I'd recommend you try it out and see for yourself if you like it. I think I will continue playing and see where it is going. But i'm not sure yet.
