I had played this mortal kombat on ps3 prior to buying this... And let me just start by saying this: Certainly, MK9 is one of the best fighting games to pick up and play with friends! I love the characters and the unique mechanics. This game has not gotten old for me. The X-Ray fatalities are a very exciting mechanic and the special moves for most characters are easy to pull off. As with other MK games, the fatalities are fantastic. With the ladder mode and the ability to increase story mode difficulty, this game certainly has replay value.

I most definitely prefer playing against other humans than playing against the cpu, but the unlockable content will certainly keep the single player experience entertaining for a while.

The roster in this game is full of fun characters, but I especially enjoy playing Cyrax, Kenshi, Jax, Sonya, Mileena, and Kitana.

Probably in the Top 10 for my favorite games of all time easily. So many modes, some fun mods... Well structured classes with their own deep backstories. Humorous. Not to mention that the balance and diversity of weapons is great. No overpowered weapons. Trading in this game adds a whole new dimension for some people. I don't trade for profit anymore. Why not give it a shot? It's free. If you take a liking to it I would highly reccommend going premium. I didn't go premium until I hit 200 hours though. It was definetly worth the 49 cent investment. DEFINETLY. I later went on to play competitive tf2, which I found increasingly fun compared to the pubs in which I was dominating the rest of the server. I think valve should add a match making/ rank system in tf2. It would really help the game garner more attention as an e-sport.

*UPDATE

Competitive Mode now exists for TF2 and although it disappoints me a little bit, I really appreciate the effort valve put into making it. There have been some great updates recently, such as the Jungle Inferno Update which fixed Pyro. I love that TF2 is game I can always come back to and enjoy. The game has such charm.

The only thing that I would ask at this point is for valve to subsidize tournament prizepools for competitive tf2, like they do for DOTA or CSGO.

Thanks

The crowd for this game is a bit small at this time in its life, but that is to be expected, sometimes I found I had to wait a minute or two for someone to join my game. But the modes are still great! Campaign is a blast and in verus I loved being a Zombie. I also like the survival mode where I would use different strategies to attempt to break my records. I really do like this game. I was lucky to get it 75% off. Great variety in weps too and I like playing as Bill or Lewis and sometimes Nick
