Easy to break but fun

Ugh, I hate to leave this with a demerit because I did enjoy this, but it was very schlocky and leaned haaaaard into traditional character tropes. I left feeling more bland than engrossed and the unfortunate treatment of self-harm seals the deal into a negative review.

I'm not as "♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ this was outstanding" as some, because the story and the gameplay are definitely quite disconnected. The gameplay is fine, it's using pretty standard puzzling mechanics and is great for lateral thinking, but it doesn't ever really strike a consistent tone and some levels are too dexterity heavy, especially the later mine levels. The story is where this game does shine, it uses its interactivity fairly well and is good to make you think on your own assumptions. Overall I would recommend, especially on sale. Croteam did a good job with this game.

Yeah this was good, engrossing, and definitely well-translated. Ending is a bit meh compared to the rest, but I think that's overblown. Would recommend especially on a steam sale. (Kemco please translate the other VN)

It's a good game, but I cannot recommend this as a good port until the developer fixes the framerate issues. Currently this requires me to artificially limit my computer's refresh rate to launch and that's stupid and awkward and unacceptable for something costing 60 bucks!
