The best metroidvania, 2d-platformer ever. It takes all the great stuff from the first game and adds upon it with new abilities, new enemies, and new challenges.

The 2013 reboot of Tomb Raider was my 2013 GotY, so I had high expectations going into Rise of the Tomb Raider. Happy to say, the game didn't disappoint! This is classic Lara, with exploration and mystery. The gameplay is much of the same with some added tweaks and new items, and the graphics look just as gorgeous as ever. This is certainly one of the games that makes owning a 3440x1440 curved monitor worth it - the game is super immersive, especially with its clever use of a minimal UI. Highly recommended for any adventure fan!

Highly underrated game. Great graphics, insane action, decent story, and some cool mini-games.

NeverWinter is the best F2P-from-the-start MMO to date. By that I mean, disregarding MMOs that started P2P and then made the switch to F2P (eg. LOTRO, RIFT, et al.).

There's a lot of content without ever having to drop a dime, not just in the core game itself, but because of the hundreds of player-made modules - some of which are quite good. Unlike PoE, which has aesthetic-only micro-transactions, NW does have boosts and gear you can buy, but all of it can be bought with in-game money (a lot, of course), and none of it is P2W.

The game may not be for everyone because the combat feels different than your typical MMO (more like a third-person action-adventure game), but I quite liked it.

PS. This is NOTHING like NWN or NWN2.

While Origins doesn't add much over its predecessor, there are a few new gadgets and enemy types, the boss battles are consistently better, and the story is arguably better than Asylum's story. If you were hoping for a drastic change in the formula, you'll likely be disappointed, but this is easily the best Batman Arkham game to date!

This is the game Diablo 3 should have been. If you're a former Diablo purist, obsessed with Diablo 2, ditch that poser called Diablo 3 and install Path of Exile. It's also a shining example of FREE-TO-PLAY done right! You can't even buy temporary boosts, everything is purely cosmetic. You only have to spend money if you want special effects or simply want to support some awesome devs.

DONTNOD has created a living, breathing world I wish I could explore more of and a protagonist that is badass and relateable at the same time. The story is great and the environments are incredibly detailed. You can read my full in-depth review here:

The Binding of Isaac is relentless and you have to be relentless to play it. You will die...a lot. But you'll also keep coming back for more because the randomness means no game will ever be the same. The game is filled with memes, poop, biblical references, poop, and shout-outs to other gaming icons, and more poop. It's certainly not a game for someone who gets offended easily.

NOTE: I advise holding off on purchasing the Wrath of the Lamb DLC as it'll make the game tougher. Better to play the vanilla game first and unlock new characters and items before acquiring WotL.
