got dota 2 from an invite that took me to a survey which I completed, a few weeks later I got a meesage with an "invte link" which actually was invitation to spend 40 bucks for the invite.
If your keen I can try and hook you up. I can actually buy another invite from the dota store (steamworks?) but I am not sure how it works but it looks like it is classified as a steam product so it cabe gifted I assume.
