Incredibly fun and unique deckbuilder. Since the beta they've added so much additional content and I've only scratched the surface on different strategies and archetypes to play with. Looking forward to further game updates!

This game is really fun! The aesthetic caught my eye first and I'm happy to say that the gameplay holds up just as well. The core idea of designing your own cards with a limited set of resources (stickers) makes the deckbuilding feel super engaging--I was always excited to reach the end of each day to try out a new sticker or completely rework my deck. I've only done a few runs so far but there are plenty of different archetypes to mess around with. The fever meter is also good for keeping matches short and punchy (though fever boosts are maybe a little too strong?). Overall, I have few complaints about the actual card battling.

There's a surprising amount of nuance in how your deck functions, not only in battles but also across other events. At one point I realized my stickerbook (where you hold stickers not currently being used in your deck) was becoming too full, but there was nothing new I really wanted to add to my deck. Then I realized that the card trading events could be used to swap out stickers I didn't want for new ones. I slapped 5 unused stickers on an empty card and was able to trade it off for significantly stronger stickers--there's the drawback of having a useless card in your deck for a battle or two until you can actually trade it away, and it makes the choices you make feel more impactful. If anything, I'd like to see more mechanics that have these kind of tradeoffs.

The art design is fantastic but the world does feel a bit empty outside of the actual battles. I'm sure more will be added in future updates but having more personality for different characters, ways to interact with them outside of battle, or non-sticker related events would really add a ton of charm. Also once the card combos start getting more off the rails there can be enough screen clutter to the point that you can't easily tell what's happening. Writing this review just made me want to play the game more, which is usually a good sign. It's a solid roguelike deckbuilder with a refreshingly unique artstyle and premise, and it's not even officially out yet! Give the demo a try if you can.
