Early Access Review
This is still very early access, so there are many bugs, there's no dynamic campaign yet, and there's still quite a bit of functionality missing. But what is here is fantastic and shows great potential. Currently the devs are very active and responsive when the community uncovers new bugs, and I hope it stays that way. Once more modding capabilities are added, the possibilities with this game will be endless!

Looks beautiful and runs great even on my 3060ti. Puzzles are stupidly tedious and I didn't even get very far before quitting because it just felt like an exercise in frustration.

Amazing potential ruined by short-sighted and greedy developers who instead of making a genuinely fun game to play, try and hook you early on and then make the experience as painful as possible to try and extract money from you, hoping you're invested enough in the game to dump money into it. Every update they make things worse and more grindy. They sell premium single vehicles, much of which are pay-to-win, for the price of whole AAA games ($70!). There are OP vehicles on their marketplace that go for hundreds of dollars.

If they changed the way they treated the community and someday brought back the Enduring Confrontation mode for Air RB (which hasn't been seen in years) then I might change my review. Until then they won't see another cent from me.

Owlcat did a fantastic job of honoring the legacy of games such as Baldur's Gate and Neverwinter Nights by realizing the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game in a CRPG, and on top of that expanding greatly on the already epic story of Kingmaker as told in the Pen and Paper version of the Adventure Path published by Paizo. Immersive story, fun characters, incredible replay value, and Owlcat has continued to support the game with bugfixes and enhancements, including supporting modders and listening to the community by providing an upcoming turn-based mode (now in Beta as of this writing).

I only wish this was multiplayer too, but you can't have everything. Still a wonderful game.
