This was a great game. Very atmospheric & spooky. Great music & sound design made it even scarier at times. I love a good story & this one was quite good. Have fun dying! :-D

After playing some of the Sherlock Holmes PC games that came before this one, it made me sad that this game is completely different, yet the same.. it's different in that it's all 2D pictures, whereas previous games were 3D & animated & some even had 1st person view. it's also different in that there's NO voice acting at all. only music & sound effects.

what makes me the saddest is that it's the same as previous games, because those 2D scene pictures are all basically screenshots from areas in previous SH games.. some scenes have been altered a bit with some objects removed or added, but they're still the same areas. also, most, if not all, of the puzzles were taken from the previous games..

the story was still pretty good though, which I was happy about. I played it on the "hardest" difficulty which was Adventure Mode, because it had "Difficult Puzzles" (which were still easy), and it was the only mode with "Freedom of Investigation". the other modes were "Guided, Linear Investigation." still finished the game in around 3 hours. the only thing I really liked was examining each person's picture for clues & them linking them to locations to find out who was where & eventually find out whodunit.

I'll recommend this game for the story & for the suspect's picture investigations & linking clues.

fairly short game if you catch on quickly, but I really like the concept & design simplicity. nice sound effects. I wish it had more levels, but I think it is replayable. I played through it once not caring how many steps I took, but I wanna replay it and try to do each level with as few steps as possible. gotta try to do things simultaneously without messing up

this game has a great story, good graphics including character models & the world/scenery & movement animations. I really like the well sorted inventory & information. and the end of chapter quizes made sure you were paying attention. I was confused that there was only mention of an earring once in the 1st chapter an then no mention of it until close to the end of the game. only crashed once near the beginning of the game, but I don't think it was an issue with the game itself. all in all good game. have fun figuring out who done it! :-)

I love mysteries and this game had me playing for hours each day, trying to figure out who was behind all the crazy happenings. Great story, characters, and art. nice 3D character models, though their actions interacting with the world were a little off sometimes. I'd definitely play a sequel if one comes out. at some point I'm also going to play the Moebius game made by the same person, Jane Jensen, to see if she really is a consistantly good story writer.

a quirky point & click mystery game that I got on sale for $1.74. I'd say it was worth it. I finished it in about 3 hours. interesting plot, characters, and location. the few puzzles were easy but still fun & it was pretty easy to get all the achievements. it was a toss up on who done it for most of the game. which is good because it wasn't that easy to guess which person(s) did it. you actually have to find lots of clues and talk to everyone to get the right answer. I like it enough to play any sequals that might come out.

this is a platformer game BUT everything that a game normally starts off with (such as music, being able to jump around, saving) you CAN'T do until you unlock the DLC in-game. you start off without the ability to even SAVE the game. you have to go collect coins just to be able to Save. it's a huge jab at all the games nowadays that have so much DLC & other perks that you have to pay for AFTER you've bought the original game.

it's just another 2D side-view game, until you gain the ability to rotate the entire world around you. then it becomes a 2D yet 3D puzzle platformer. the music and sound effects are quite lovely~

Psychonauts is the quirkiest of quirky games. From the art styles to the different worlds you explore to the dialoge of the main characters & NPCs. The story is especially quirky. You jump into other Psychonauts' minds to learn new psychic abilities. For some reason your own mind is being intruded by meat. Yes, meat. and you have to figure out why. My favorite characters are the not-so-secret-agents in one world. They all have the same male, monotone voice, but everything they say is amusing. When you get the Clairvoyance psychic power you can use it on people, animals, and random objects to see yourself through their eyes. For example: Rats would see you as cheese, and the mailboxes see you as a person covered in question marks.. Yeah, it's weird. This game is a Must Play and has great Replayability
