I say yes I would recommend this game, however, only to those who have seen the show. Mostly because, yeah, I watched the show buit not fully, so I didn't get a lot of stufff in the game like Scrooge's first dime and why Magica wanted it (and who Magica even was). The humor in the game is a lot like the show and that is good but there wasn't enough to actually make me laugh. The graphics, however, were great and looked like you were watching the show because they looked (mostly) as they do in the show and almost all the orignal cast is back.
I know this was based on the orignal game but I would've liked to play as some of the othe characters other than Scrooge. Like, fly Launchpad's plane during the bombing part or something? Also that it didn't really make sense in the story to have the kids out of the game, because they didn't do that in the show, in fact they rarely even listened and would've followed Scrooge. Sure they kinda did that in the Himliahs but I kinda wanted more character interaction. But thats just a nitpick.
There are minor glitches in the game, and the controls aren't the greatest in the world. I personally played witha xbox 360 controller and ran the game on Windows 10 and I never had a huge issue with glitches. The worse I got was that I felt annoyed in the boss battle that I had to hit the bat in the excat spot in order to hit him but most of the time I would miss the bat, miss the second bat, or not get high to reach the boss. The gliches became more noticable the later I got in the game, expect for one, and it was the ropes/chains. For whatever reason, Scrooge would never grab on, this became insanly annoying in the finale of the game where you are racing Magica and getting out of the volcano(?). Where if you don't move quickly, you lose/die. I had to repeat these sections about 10-15 times because of this.
The story itself feels like you are watching the show, and its awesome, however, it doesn't flow as well as I would've liked? But it's fine. The only one I felt was a bit lazy was the mole one. But that was just because I felt that the enemies' design was lazy and that level itself was really short. Other than that, I liked how it ended, I won't spoil it, but it reminded me of the first arc of DuckTales that I loved as a kid. I also love that you can go swim inside you vault full of money, but I don't like that even through I re-beat the levels I never get the treasures back in the vault.
I do recommend this game, a lot, I'm just being really nitpicky. The music is awesome, the backgrounds are gorgous and playing this game has me in the mood to finally watch the entireity of DuckTales and has me hyped for the new show coming next year and I like it so much that I plan on getting the rest of the achivements (since there isn't a lot of them). I can tell that a lot of work was put into this game and that the people who made it loved the show and the last game and now I hope they make remakes of other Disney video games.
