I unabashedly adore this game, albeit its many flaws.

At its core, everything is controlled by mouse movement for better or for worse (and it goes both ways). Starting out can be incredibly frustrating, as its purely reliant on understanding the movement system and how to use it to attack (With little in the way of instruction). However, once you get the hang of it, it becomes enjoyable to crush your respective weapon into an enemy; Ripping off armor, cleaving a monster in two, or smashing someone into a wall.

As you progress, you get different weapons to use as well. A pickaxe, hammers, maces, curved swords or giant ones that have extra weight to them, and plenty of chained weapondry that depends entirely on momentum. On top of this, you can carry 2 weapons at a time, either swinging them wildly or locking them together that makes you adapt to a different way of swinging all together. Any way can be deadly if you know how to properly control it, and each offers different playstyles.

While the story itself seems very mashed together, it offers several paths to go through that offers different rewards that make it somewhat worth playing through several times as the fights are different and focused on the different enemy types. There are other modes as well that award weapons and gems that grant effects like fire, freezing an enemy, or phasing to weapons.

Small things are noted in things like titles such as if you try to kill everyone you come across, or if you choose to spare everyone after they defeated, or if you are more keen to decimating swaths of monsters.

The audio and music isnt overly impressive, but it feels like it fits the game, and the hits are matched in power and sound satisfying.

The major complaint i'd hold over the game is the UI and resolution being extremely clunky to work with. The game doesn't like to work outside of its set resolution and will stick to its windowed mode, which would effect each person and their screens differently.

Overall, you'll love or hate the game if you enjoy its physics based combat system, which relies heavily on practice and dedication to learn its unique control method (That again being reliant on the mouse and momentum).
