Incredible game. One of those games where you sit down to play for "just a bit" only to look up and suddenly it's 3am.

My only real complaint: Districts can be a bit annoying to deal with at first until you learn how they work and how to better balance resources between them. I wish this part of the game could be a little bit less micro-manage-y.

The hype is deserved. GOTY 2024.

I would only buy this game when it's on sale and with the understanding that development is finished - don't expect any updates or even bug fixes in the future. The developer has moved on to other things. And that's fine, but just something to keep in mind.

It's a fun game. It's not perfect, but the progression system is addicting.

Only a few hours game but it's obvious that Larian has taken CRPGs to the next level with this game. The attention to detail is incredible. The scope is mind-blowing. The writing, art, animations...all awesome.

I expected to spend hundreds of hours here.

DNF - I got bored. Started out strong but once you understand the core gameplay loop it becomes very repetitive. The game is definitely showing its age and its lacking modern QOL features and there are some quirks/bugs playing on a PC. Game was definitely built for consoles and the port isn't great.

At it's time it was probably a good game, but I think this one is fine to skip these days.

A great game that is definitely showing its age. Watch a youtube video to understand how combat works (basically, don't spam the attack button, let Geralt finish attack animations and time the follow-up attacks correctly) and that fixes the main issues that most people have. Good story, decent writing, great characters, and a fun world to explore and fight monsters in.
