A worthy sequel to one of my favourite games, and one that clearly has a lot of love poured into it. Silksong has a similarly crazy, deep world full of lore and fun characters, with improved combat and movement systems that you will miss if you replay the first Hollow Knight. I love the art, the music, the bosses, as well as the amazing interactions and dialogue from Hornet

The game has some challenge to it, which I think is good - and once you get a feel for the (very tight) controls, the fights and movement become very fun. You will probably die a few times to start with, but in the end, all fights are winnable with enough focus, and I think the difficulty adds to the "F*** YES!" feeling when you finally beat the boss

I was able to 100% the game as a casual gamer within a few weeks of release, and I'm not that good

Valid criticisms, but I think there is a lot of beauty and cool stuff to see. It can be confusing, and it takes a minute to get into it... but there is Rain World vibes to be found

I highly recommend the Watcher Echo Ping mod, it makes the experience a little more polished

A really, really cool game unlike anything I've played before.

Rain World gives you a huge open world to explore, and only the very movement controls for a tutorial. At the surface level the game is about platforming, dynamic movement, survival, and exploration. But the game is so much deeper, and the lore is amazing if you take the time to learn about it.

It's hard, especially at the start. A lot of players complain that the procedural movement system is a little "unfair" but I disagree. Once you learn how to move effectively and smoothly, the gameplay is absolutely incredible. It's not that hard when you're used to it

Hands down my favourite game. Mindustry is made by only a single, extremely committed dev who is still working on updates

Mine raw resources, build Factorio-esque factories, research new technologies, expand your territory, defend your base against enemies, and in turn attack the enemy's bases.

The game is criminally under-priced at less than £5! Get it

Despite the failure at launch, this game has become one of my favourites. It's exactly the game I always dreamt of as a kid.

The game is absolutely worth it right now
