A solid concoction of the things done right within the previous Sonic (including Sumo Digital's SEGA All-Stars series) racing games. Items can be a bit overpowered at times but overall a great arcade/kart racing game.

For those who already owned the original Sonic Generations from 2011 on PC, it's pretty lame that you need to buy the game again instead of at least getting a discount while getting it.

That being said, most people are probably buying this game for the newly included Shadow Generations, which is no slouch of a game. It is NOT just some small campaign expansion, but instead a full on sequel to Sonic Generations. And while it is a bit shorter than Sonic's equivalent (which is already a short game to begin with), it still comes pretty close with it when it comes to level design and polish. Definitely the best modern Sonic has to offer probably since (coincidentally) Sonic Generations.
