This is a fantastic game, to say the least. I could tell you about how the world, story, missions, and amazingly non-linear world of STALKER come together to make a great game. In short, just play it, you won't regret it. It's by far my favorite entry in the franchise, and if I had to rate it, it's a 9/10 easy.

May I just day for the record, this is , and I kid you not, probably the best FPS I've played in about, oh, I'd say about 3 years. The story isn't what makes this game great, but rather the atmosphere and world in which it plays out. This game makes you feel more involved in the world than most, and the atmosphere and characters are half of what carries this game. The other half comes in the form of excellent gameplay. It plays sort of like a Deus Ex game in a way, giving you a hybrid of stealth and combat, and let's you handle most situations as you see fit. Last but not least, customization is greatly improved upon, at least in terms of weapons. You can greatly customize most of your loadout, with verything from sights, barrel mounts, magazines, the works. In the end, I really liked his game. I'd give it about a 9/10, and although the spirit of 2033 is there in the world and characters, this is a whole different beast in terms of gameplay, which I feel has been greatly improved, especially stealth.

Honestly, this game is a bit of a mixed bag. On one hand, it is definitely one of the best horror games I've played in the last few years. However, it's gameplay does get a bit repetitive towards the end, but will leave you horrified nonetheless. As far as the story goes, it's a pretty good one, and towards the end it get's more creative than your typical horror game. As far as the sound design goes, it's phenominal, and as for the graphics, although I've seen prettier, they hold up pretty well. I'd give this about an 8/10, it's definitely worth playing.

I really enjoyed this game. It gives you an interesting story, a great cast of characters, and solid gameplay experience. The graphics look pretty good and I never had any frame-rate issues. Above all however, the gameplay is incredibly fun, I was always engaged and never bored. Plus, the game delivers a healthy dose of humor. If I had to rate it, I'd give it an 8/10, it's a solid game.
