Played. Big Daddy and the small child arrives, ominous noises enjoyed. Got scared, turned it off. Maybe I'll try again soon when I grow out of my need for a pacifier.

Played for 27 hours straight. Logged on the next day after passing out for 15 hours to find my Pterodactyl slaughtered and my base in pieces. Turned it off and didn't play for months out of grief. 10/10 would recommend for emotional turmoil.

Not a bad game for some pass-time with your pals. Easy to play, and quite fun if you get a decent group who don't just type "orange did it" because their friend on discord told them.

Firstly, this one is split into two parts; single player and co-operative, which you don't have in the original Portal. As an adoring fan of co-operative gameplay, I went against all laws of gaming and jumped straight into co-op first, which has a great number of levels for hours (or days if you're less of a gaming hermit than others when you get a shiny new game) of entertainment - especially when you and your co-op partner are incompetent 14 year olds.

I found the co-operative gameplay to be more difficult and thought provocative than the single player, but that's maybe because I came back to play single player a number of years later, when I was much older and less of a spoon.

Overall upon writing this review I have about 40 hours of gameplay, with the vast majority of that being on co-op servers, and about 2-4 hours of that being on single player. I've played co-op multiple times with multiple people I enjoyed it that much, and became somewhat of an achievement hunter down the line (until we got fed up of the same map 48 times because we just could. not. get. it).

That being said, I 100% recommend Portal and Portal 2 if you've not played either. They're some of my favourite games and highly entertaining, especially if you're into puzzles. And if you're like me and you're not the biggest fan of playing games without company, you'll still somewhat enjoy these because they're short and won't have you sitting alone for 300 hours.
