TLDR:
Clean look, good VR performance, great ad-hoc multiplayer with AI, mediocre good driving feel

Probably the best sim to just hop into and play with a few friends:
+ Easy to create multiplayer lobbies
+ AI in multiplayer
+ Many options to adjust realism settings

Very good to play in VR:
+ Clean look
+ Good performance

A lot of tracks and cars:
+ Many known tracks and many more lesser known tracks
+ good variety of cars

Good riving feel on GT cars
+ heavily improved driving feel up to and after version 1.6.9 [dec 2025]

Confusing separation, Menu and DLCs
- there are plenty of DLCs, which all add bits and pieces here and there
- Car classes are a bit confusing to me. example: GT3 [included] and GT3 Gen2 [DLC] are different vehicle categories. Some GT3 Gen2 cars are content of separate DLCs, like the lamborghine huracan or the aston martin vantage v8.
- The total cost of owning all DLCs is quite high

Mediocre driving feel
o To me [comparison with ACC and LMU] the driving feels a bit weird. The cars have a weird way of rotating.
o The Force Feedback does not seem to tell me much - I get quite frustrated sometimes cause I loose the car and I had no clue that I was about to

Early Access Review
I would not consider this a "game" yet. What is currently there is just the core "game loop" (driving) with not much around it. But ultimately, games are liked because their core game loop is awesome - and it is here :)

Comparison to ACC:
- Driving feels very nice - I even tried with a controller and it worked significantly better than in ACC.

- Driving is more forgiving

- Car diversity is better (although I personally really like GT cars, so I don't really care, it insure others do)

-Graphics are good. I personally like the unreal engine look of ACC, but I have to admit that Evo looks more consistent - in ACC I sometimes felt like that e.g. a wall on grass looked like it doesn't belong there.

It feels like this has the potential to hit a sweet spot between a Grant Turismo game and ACC.

Unfortunately, this game may have ruined most other racing games for me.

Steering wheel feedback, sound, driving feel are all amazing.

Wait times are a bit frustrating at times.
