Holy f-ck Larian, we're not pushing bad reviews because of AI usage. We are simply experimenting and not replacing, because it's not fleshed out fully yet. I'm not against AI usage as a tool to simplify and streamline production or certain tasks, but the response was quite a thing to witness...

Saying "We still have concept artists" has the same ring to it as "Well, I have black friends!" before dropping something racist.

I need to play through all the games again because achievement triggers failed most of the time, which was a known issue when I first played through it.

There is NO co-op multiplayer whatsoever ported over from Mass Effect 3. Especially sad considering that we still got the co-op mode working in normal Mass Effect 3.

Also, I cannot stress this enough: F!UCK THE EA LAUNCHER! REMOVE THAT POS SOFTWARE AS A REQUIREMENT! EVEN uPLAY WORKS BETTER THAN THIS PIECE OF CRAP!

Co-op multiplayer still works.
That's the only reason why you should install this game and not play the LE version. As all the other reasons are negated by the fact that ME3 runs like crap on modern systems and is prone to crashing.

This feels like someone needed and excuse to animate their cool pirate OCs and slapped a game on top of it and it worked!

Hey, can I copy your homework?

Megabonk is a garlic-like with roguelike elements... or danmaku with enemies instead of projectiles. It's as basic as it can get with it's near carbon-copy of Vampire Survivors and all of the games that were inspired by VS, especially Soulstone Survivors and Picayune Dreams. Most of the arsenal is somewhat a copy of what Vampire Survivors did.

Pair that with the best of Risk of Rain, especially Risk of Rain 2 with its 3D enviroment, the shrines and boss portal mechanic, along with the low-poly "PS1 graphics" craze that has been here and there and sprinkle in outdated memes and funny quips and you'll end up with Megabonk.

So if the game copies 80% of its elements and tries to jump on nearly every function a game like this could have, shouldn't that be a bad thing?

Actually no! Megabonk is another enjoyable garlic-like and the outdated humor and memes just hit that sweet spot of cringe but also nostalgia. It's nothing too original or groundbreaking, but does it always have to be? It does its job well enough to warrant being its own thing and it's fun!

The only negative I found for now, is that the camera sometimes gets stuck on the enviroment or clips into the level geometry. Also Megachad is easy mode, real chads pick Monke.

Also the price of 10 bucks is the icing on top of the whole package.

Nice and chill game.

Sad to see that homophobic people harassed, hacked and doxxed its creator to the point of him dropping the game and pulling out of the internet as a whole. Also shame on all the people that started sexualizing (for whatever reason) the game and it's drawing feature.

Guess we can't have nice things.

Pro tip!
If you want a good performing review, you gotta enable DLSS and FrameGen. Or just build your own engine! Real fans would do that!

Don't worry about the playtime, I only bought it here to have it on Steam too. I played it mostly with the original CD release.

Morrowind has that phenomenon that, if you hear or see anything about it somewhere online, you get the instinct to install and play it again. Or just mod it for 4 hours, start the game, crash and uninstall the whole game just to start over in a few days again.

Overall, probably one of Bethesda's milestones in terms of story, atmosphere and wonder of exploration. Too bad it suffers from a very weird RPG-Skill system, but that's part of the charme I guess?

9/10

Where's the cat that hates fascists though? It should be essential.
