Patrolling through the Mojave almost makes you want to wish for a nuclear winter.

I love everything about this game. I've been a Monster Hunter fan since I first played it on MH3U on the 3Ds. I pre-ordered this and beat it fairly quickly. but I just cannot bring myself to recommend it because this game runs worse than a man in a wheelchair. I had taken a break since April in order to let some content build up so I can hop in an binge it all- lo and behold the game still performs like trying to play Minecraft with shaders on your mom's school laptop.

It hurts my heart to not recommend this game to anyone who has anything less than a 4070 and a ryzen x3D cpu and can just brute force FPS out of this with VRAM and Frame Generation. because until Capcom fixes their ♥♥♥♥ its the only way to play this unless you like dealing with 30fps with virtually the lowest settings possible playing at 1080p with DLSS on Performance and STILL get stuttering because the RE engine obviously cannot handle big open games like this without some *serious* optimization.

for reference I have an RTX 3060 ti, Ryzen 5 3600x, and 32GB of RAM. I know my hardwares showing it age recently because of all the new games coming out- but this is just nuts. game is unoptimized as all hell. wait until it's fixed. It's worth the wait. and I don't hate Monster Hunter. this frustration comes out of love and disappointment for a company I thought better than this. Please stop releasing half-baked games for full price.

And maybe I'll come back and change this to a "Yes, recommended" once it runs how it should have always ran.

I FINALLY beat the main story on The Witcher 3. I started my save in November before dropping it 5 hours in as I usually did when I tried playing this game. Not that I didn't like it- I just never got hooked. I'd try every now and then to play it. Start a new save, get 15, 20, 30 or even 40 hours in, then just never go back. I'd do this a few times when I played on PS4. When I initially got it on PC I started a save and got about 80 hours in, just d!cking around with side missions and what-not. Never got passed the Skellige chapter. But a week or so ago for some reason I decided to just jump back in. And this time I finally stuck to it, and I am SO happy I did.

I liked my ending. got most of what I was hoping for. I feel like I f*cked up on 1 thing for my ending, though. But everything else I'm happy with. Next time I play through I'll make sure I'll do what I missed.

But overall? 10/10 best RPG I've played in a long, long time, and I'm mad at myself for not playing it all the way through the first time I played back in 2017.
I could definitely see myself doing a NG+ Death March playthrough if I ever got a bug up my butt about playing it again.

Now it's time for the DLC. 😎
First Hearts of Stone, then Blood & Wine.

One of the few games I'd say is worth full price despite being 10 years old, and even more so on sale. If you've any interest in fantasy RPGs at all- this is a MUST play. And if you already own this game and never touched it, only played a few hours and dropped it, or even if you're going through these reviews to see if it's worth playing again. Do it. You won't regret it.

This game is completely broken and I have been cheated out of my $100.

My guns and enemies are invisible most of the time.

The game runs absolutely terrible on my 3060 ti.

There is literally zero content. A sad amount of guns and the maps are dull with no sign of levolution.

No player base so finding a match is virtually impossible.

Even an EA investor admitted the game is in a terrible state. And they're already moving on from this one to make a new Battlefield. That is ridiculous.

I sorely regret spending any money on it at all. For the love of God please give me my money back.
