None of the FromSoftware games have ever clicked with me, despite trying several times to get into Dark Souls, Elden Ring, and Sekiro. I loved Hollow Knight, and saw a post on the steam deck subreddit recommending this game, and I figured I'd try it out. 15 hours in, and I am hooked. I'm a scrub, and I've barely beaten the first three bosses, and I must've died several hundred times already, but for the first time in a long while, I'm determined to 100% this game. Combat feels incredibly satisfying, and that feeling of finally beating a boss that you've been struggling with is incredible. 10/10

I have now started a second playthrough of the game because I have not yet found anything with such satisfying combat.

It's been a long time since I've been hooked to a game like this. Combat feels satisfying, and the art/animation style is gorgeous. I wish there was a bit more skill build variety, but since the game is still in EA, and Klei has been actively listening to feedback and tweaking things, I expect we will see more variety soon.

I've been wanting to get into the resource management/sim genre for a while now. I've tried Factorio, RimWorld, and Prison Architect, and none of them did it for me. I randomly picked up this game on sale, and I played it for 8h straight, two days in a row. If you're new to the genre (like me), and like having your base be pretty, then this game can easily keep you entertained for quite a while, as you'll probably end up starting the scenario over from the beginning. Highly recommend this game. If you like this, you will probably also like Oxygen Not Included, though if you are new to the genre, I would heavily recommend playing this game first, as Oxygen Not Included is incredibly more complex.
