I love the art style but it is NOT worth it for the absolute garbage optimization it has.
Don't care for the mass hysteria with the EOMM because every single f2p game that has matchmaking has this implemented and if u think only this game has this issue, you're suffering of a hardcore hypnosis or placebo.

The issue with this game is THE ABSOLUTE DISGUSTING OPTIMIZATION. gpu crashes on gpu crashes, STILL has memory leaks since release. I think new-gen gamedevs just cannot optimize because they legit have no idea how to do it anymore due to the increase in specs for a household PCs.

They will remove team-stacks in competitive after you reach plat next season, if u wanna play with an actual team, tough ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ luck if youre just an average comp player, if you're not adding a mode where you can full-stack what is the point of this change. If u have friends good luck lol you're stuck in 3mans after plat. Absolutely bonkers.
At LEAST FIX THE PERFORMANCE.

I feel like this game was made specifically for me, i played it in early access as well and i couldn't put it down at all. I came from work excited to play it, sometimes straight up played it in my lunch time at work while munching a sandwich at my desk.
I even bought the bundle to support the devs! The steam awards reminded me that I never really left a review for it even if i was absolutely obsessed.

Roguelike city-builder, it scratches such a perfect itch. Stunning visuals, interesting civilians, the aesthetic is top notch in my opinion, so many things to do in such different ways. Feels very satisfying, the lore is very interesting as well and I love they're leaving things open for new updates and such. I definitely recommend it, and encourage others to give it a try!

Early Access Review
Always worry about buying early access games, except this one, this one is actually good. Im super excited to see the polish and the finished artwork. The character designs, ui and art were the top things on why i absolutely adored the first game, and i know i wont be disappointed when i saw the art that didnt have any placeholders in this one.

I know why men killed people and did atrocious things for women they loved. Aphrodite and Nemesis, i will do the same for you, they reminded me how gay I am.

Edit for the steam awards: I loved the updates they added and the balancing, i still believe in everything i said before in this review. If you enjoy the first, you'll likely enjoy this one. I finished all the available bossfights, and im sitting with my chair with my bowl out "more please :3"

Early Access Review
Cute art, adorable designs, animations are nice, music is okay, cute idea with loots.
No progression, feels bad to play. I tried really hard to like it since i've actually enjoyed most if not all roguelikes ive got my hands on.

A roguelike is supposed to feel like you're doing progress when you're dying, there's nothing that buffs your character with the items, and the goods are meh. There's no point in the game where you feel powerful or that "this is it, i got the golden build" due to...
Full RNG.
Completely ruins it, no way to make a build, good luck if you get Time 5 times in a row.
Reroll locked to items, and have fun wasting it cause every time i used it i got the same goods in a different order lol.

You're getting punished for playing the game; the dashes seem so important, but the game punishes you for using them. Extremely slow cooldown even with items and goods that supposedly help with that. The characters feel extremely slow also due to attack movement speed, completely lowers the quality since it's trying to make you explore for loot and whatnot, but you need to level up, so do you just walk around looking for stuff or are you gonna hit enemies?
Neither cause they don't help you at all if you focus only on looting or on leveling.

I don't recommend buying it, unless you wanna buy it to support the devs in hopes they fix the issues mentioned in other reviews as well, but playing it at the moment is more of a time-waster / if you wanna look at the cute art, since nothing is really fun about it.

Early Access Review
I've played this game LOTS even though i had work and limited time to play with, and i've gotten the hang of it pretty easily. Now, I don't write reviews often, but when i do, i got stuff to say:

First thing first, people LOVE to compare it to other games like DBD and whatnot, and I honestly dont enjoy doing that. The thing that this game resembles Dead by Daylight is just... that it's a 4v1 asymmetrical game.

Now, some things have changed since I played in the tests, so keep that in mind.
Gameplay stuff:
"Survivors" are called Extractors, their objective is to download Data Cubes from Data Miners (Orange thingies) and upload them to Data Warehouses (blue thingies), and of course, not get caught by the Watcher and escape.

"Killers" / "Hunters" are called Watchers, their objective is to catch Extractors, either by wasting their time (making them lose their Data Cubes by hitting them and then collecting their Data Cubes + adding viruses to Data Miners/Warehouses) or killing extractors directly.

Everyone shares a mechanic called Energy. You use energy for everything -> FAST vaulting or crouching, FAST uploading/mining, FAST destroying / making walls and abilities, but if you're an extractor, you alert the watcher. Now if you noticed, i capitalized the word fast, you can do all those things normally, and you won't alert the watcher. (this information is useful trust me). Of course even if abilities use energy, i think its the only thing that wont alert the watcher when being used, knowing how to use your energy is very useful, and I think a core knowledge/mechanic? of this game.

Extractors have Shields and Health. The shield regenerates, but the health doesnt. The Watcher has to go through the shields to down an extractor. There are no hooks, or chairs, or whatever, the Watcher has to execute the Extractor when they're downed, and when you get executed you lose some of your Max Health and then turn into a hologram of sorts and you have to find your teammates to get revived, if you don't you slowly lose more of you Max HP and eventually die permanently out of that game.
If you get revived, you have a little bit of Shield, and of course some of your Health perma damaged. An extractor has approx. i say, two executions off dying completely on their third execution, if saved on time.
Once in hologram form, the Watcher cannot see or hear the Extractor. But if the Executed Extractor is being healed/revived, they are revealed. (best time to use energy btw), and so it makes Camping after executing pretty much inexistent.

This game has a lot of survivor sided maps. The only thing that absolutely bothers me are the map layouts. There's a map with 3 floors that shouldnt even exist.
Hitboxes are iffy. They NEED to work on them asap.

Pretty stuff:
The style is interesting.. Cyberpunkish, man vs machine. The designs aren't all my cup of tea, but they fit with the game's style pretty well. Not hyper realistic, but not super cartoony.
They're always working on their optimization and visibility on their objectives. (Y'all have no idea how hard it was to find a data warehouse before the recent updates).

Audio stuff:
Kinda limited, it's neat when you encounter them fresh, but this is something they need to work on a bit more. Most bugs I encountered were audio bugs. Captions wouldn't fit in with what the characters were saying all the time, and sometimes some characters were louder than others. The main menu song can get annoying if you hear it for a long time, but the last part might be just me.
These are all at MOST mild annoyances, and shouldnt really hinder the game too much. They fixed some bugs, but not everything's perfect.
A super nice thing that not all games have of in this type of genre, is Subtitles. Everyone has subtitles, when someone gets hit, when someone finishes uploading a cube, even the announcer has 'em. Pretty cool.

Now that that's out of the way, and you kinda get the gist of what's going on,

is it worth it?
Yes.. IF you have an open mind about it. This game is still a baby, it's still trying to figure itself out on how to balance things, and what to add to make the experience better, but do I really have to tell you this? It's in early access.
So far, i've had lovely experiences with it. (Aside of a few bugs and what not)

The community is nice so far (a lot of 'Survivor mains'. But it could be worse)
The staff is very lovely and receptive. Very communicative. They listen to feedback and respond quite fast. I do encourage people to join their discord.

I bought this game because I enjoyed it, and I'm a pretty iffy person when it comes to buying early access games. I recommend it for people that enjoy asym. games.
