Freedom Planet 3 looks good!

I don't know anything about vtubers, so none of the story or enemy designs make any sense. I didn't even register the ufo guys as an enemy when I first saw them. But the game plays well, all of the mechanics feel on point. Great job!

Everything you thought was cool when you were 12 is what is actually cool:
Arnold, war, guns, riding in a giant tank that looks like it is going to fall apart at any second, all of it.

It's better than league because you can play it without bricking your computer with a poorly made anti-cheat

Ill re-open with my previous review because my statement then still stands, I would like to request updated icons for all the endings. Considering you are charging 40 dollars for a 30 year old game, double the price of PM2 refine which is practically the same game, I think its the least you could do.

You can get the same game and possibly a better experience with the Refine version, its 20 dollars less, 10 if you get is on steam sale, and you can speed through the text in that one. I had to do a lot of runs to get the Build the Wall achievement (Worth it) and being able to speed through the game is extremely helpful. Most VNs have this feature, not sure why this one didn't, or maybe I just didn't find it.

When I bought this game I was really hoping there would be some new animations shoehorned in the game or maybe some new CGs for certain events, new music. From what I could find, none is in here. There is new artwork, and it looks alright, but its not worth the 40 dollars. It would be neat if they had 2 versions of PM2 in this game, the classic version and a remaster / remake where it has new things like new routes or new jobs, new stats, but using the old PM2 formula as a jumping off point. Something, anything that could make this more than just PM2 with a new coat of paint. I almost feel like the devs saw PM2 Refine was the only game of theirs that didn't have a "Mixed" rating and wanted to put this out to set the record strait. I honestly would have been less disappointed if they just put out PM4.

In the end, they remastered everything but the achievements.

This game honestly feels like Princess Maker for zoomers. Funny thing is it suffers from an issue that Princess Maker 1 had where the windows don't fit the screen properly so ♥♥♥♥ is just cluttered everywhere. If you watch the old trailer everything just looked so much more well organized. Which means that making everything look cluttered was a design choice, and a good one at that. This game is trying to be haphazard and chaotic and its one of the few times a bad design choice actually plays out favorably to the experience. Normally I would put a little more effort into turning this review into a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ but I actually respect sim games for the fine craft that they are.

At the time of writing this review I have only played this game for an hour, and I will probably play it more, but it has given me something to really think about. I never liked content creator culture. I never liked that there are so many people willing to throw away everything on a gamble that they might be the next big hit and with no backup plan if things should fall through. One of the things I love about Sim games is I get to start from nothing and build myself up. But what am I building myself up to with this game? A life of constantly trying to cook up crackpot ideas to maintain that 15 minutes of fame? A life of self abuse in the hopes of gaining the adoration of faceless people on the internet? This game probably wasn't going for something that deep but who knows I'm probably overthinking it.

I am also not a fan of feeling the generational divide. Communicating through emojis was never really my style but in this game its the dominant method of communication. I kinda felt like a discord mod. Playing this game really made me feel my age.

I didn't get the cuck ending. I am NOT A CUCK.

For 15 dollars you can make the game not fun.
