Battlefield proves that fun is not a zero-sum game.
Other shooters have you stressing out about your performance or your teammates.
In battlefield, you're having a good time regardless of the scoreboard.

No other shooter lets you have as much fun when you're losing as you do when you're winning.
It's not about the wins or ranked points- it's all about the story and moments you create in a match.

Moments you can have "only in battlefield".

Stanger of Paradise makes me sad.

It makes me sad because I know that there will never, ever be a game that is more made for me than this.
Yes, for me- singular. Target audience: one

A full-blown Team Ninja action game in the Final Fantasy world.
It's Nioh in a Final Fantasy skin. I'm not even being reductive; that description is wholly accurate.
It's so good. It's also so bad. I love it. Such is the monkey's paw that is Team Ninja.

I'm glad you guys get to enjoy this game that was made for me.

It may take some effort to get into, but its worth it. I normally hate these types of games. They're boring. Point-and-click-and-read.

But Disco Elysium is such a compelling experience. It has the potential to hook you so powerfully that you won't be able to stop playing until you roll credits.

The writing is raw, grounded, and descriptive. The affect of your choices on the experience is huge.
These let you connect with your character on such a deep level. The most 'roleplay'-y i've felt in a game.
You're literally hearing the voices in his head, and can choose to listen to them or not. You can even argue with them!

And the voiceover- oh god, the voiceover. I would not have given it as big of a shot if it weren't for the excellent voiceover.

If you're into roleplaying games of any variety, give Disco Elysium a good shot.

This is such an odd sentence, but it describes my feelings perfectly:
I put more effort into liking this game than the game put into making me like it.

Calling Cultist Simulator "niche" is like calling the sun "warm". Its not niche... its HYPER niche.
Honestly, I can't think of adjectives that could describe how unbelievably niche cultist simulator is, and how offensively little it does to appeal to anyone outside of its intended audience.

I originally wrote paragraphs of text detailing how the game works and exactly what causes this friction.
After writing all of that, I felt an intense feeling of irony wash over me.

In Cultist Simulator, my main gripe is that you can only learn that a decision you made was wrong after-the-fact.
Just like in-game, it took me playing Cultist Simulator for 26 hours to learn that it was not worth my time.

Unfortunately, life is not a rogue-like.
Unless you're absolutely certain that this is your cup of tea, absolutely do not bother with Cultist Simulator.

It just KEEPS. ON. GIVING.
Just when you think its done, you find 3 new zones, 8 new bosses, and a new movement ability.

For this price, it feels like stealing.

An instant classic. Chicken soup for the soul. A pure action game.

The good guys are cool ninjas and the bad guys are evil demons.
The story is bland, the action incredible.

The only thing to be upset about is how relentless and aggressive the enemies are. Once you get over that, you can rip their limbs off and turn them into red mist!

Usually, I think of souls-likes as 'we have dark souls at home', but lies of P is so polished, its mechanics so interesting, and its overall art direction so well executed that it shines through that misconception.

The visuals and audio are outstanding.
The twists to the gameplay are fun to experiment with.

It even has quality of life features I haven't seen in actual souls games.
Even if you don't like souls games, there are easier difficulty options that allow you to experience the world and story.

Overall, a great game that I recommend you try.

This game rocks.

Like how the arkham games made you feel like batman, doom the dark ages really makes you FEEL like an unstoppable force, carving a path across the battlefield.
