1000 km² of terrain to wingsuit over and I've faceplanted into 998 of it. There should be an achievement.

This game makes no attempt to hide its influences... The open-world criminality of GTA. Batman's 1-vs-many melee combat. Mirror's Edge style free-running. Acrobatic hijackings straight out of Just Cause 2. Cover shooting, a la Gears of War. Innumerable cop movies and Bruce Lee movies get huge nods. And it works.

Every idea Sleeping Dogs borrows is done less well than in the game or film that inspired it, but its success lies in the blend. The fistfights are much better than in GTA, you go on kill-crazy rampages undreamed of in Batman, and one of the side missions is basically "Enter The Dragon", complete with cheesy '70s film grain effects. What more could you want?

I bought this game thinking it was an FPS. It's actually a Hobo Simulator in which you search for loose change under park benches and eat food out of trashcans, but it's good fun anyways.

...use the rod to catch a fish to lure the pelican onto the lever which starts the crane to lift you up to....

This game plays like the lateral thinking puzzles from the classic Lucasarts adventures, condensed and stylized into bite-size levels. It's good fun, and the graphics are very nicely drawn and animated. It currently sells on iOS and Android for just £1.99 and there's nothing in this version to justify the huge price hike. I got it in the sale and would recommend picking it up next time it gets discounted (or you could go buy it on your iPad).

I love this game. I completed it at least three times already. First I murdered everbody and laughed. Next I killed nobody and felt smug. Then I murdered everybody again! Ha! AND you get to play as Michael Madsen in the excellent DLC! Its just... awesome.

It's also cheap! Seriously, I can't believe how little they ask for this thing. Best value-for-money on Steam right now.

A riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma, and possibly the best game of the 21st Century so far... I want to erase my brain so I can re-play it from scratch!

Fun and stylish little platform/puzzle game. OK, so it's not as clever as Braid nor as atmospheric as Limbo, but it's got personality. Personality goes a long way!
