After my first play through I'm not sure where to place this in terms of rating, maybe a soft 6 - 7 as it offers many things but suffers many issues that many modern rpgs face,

A few of the things I really enjoyed was the flaw system, it allowed me to break from how I normally min-max into a jack of all trades that can access everything but as far as immersion goes it doesn't make me feel any less of a blank protagonist that is constantly prompted to do the right thing and use negotiation to bypass most issues.

I value being able to make fun builds, I didn't feel limited mid game to branch and find what I enjoyed or inadvertently built but end game combat and narrative choices, story progression falls into area of you're basically a god doing side quests to pass the time and explore the world instead of wanting to see change in the world through your actions in side quests/main quests and how each faction reacts and responds.

I love rpgs but most rpgs these days really value freedom of choice but that freedom comes at a cost of less active world mechanics and you can really feel it in this game, your actions in side quests/main quests don't really impact the game overworld as npcs stay in the same areas, most places stay the same or just end up destroyed with npcs offering you new side quests as a result with no real change in the world or new faction mechanics.

My overall recommendation would be wait until the dlc's drop OR buy this on sale if you're a die hard rpg fan as this will surely leave you wanting more once you're 20 - 30 hours in without delivering much more

Early Access Review
After 28 hours, I'll give a good decent review.

This game has STALKER, Escape From Tarkov, and RPG elements combined. It has fun shoot mechanics, somewhat dynamic world where it feels like the world is balanced level of conflict two factions/multiple factions and the monsters.

The looting feels good when using no loot respawn on your first few runs until you get your senses for the game depending on how you min/max things or if you use guides/internet to further yourself but after this it's better to use loot respawning(in my opinion) to accelerate what you want to do when you have a good 10 hours into one playthrough.

If you take your time and are very intuitive then this game can offer a lot of slow world building and hints for quests, if you're not then you're probably going to google a lot of solutions to your questions(which thankfully if you can google key words well enough and have some patience then you'll find either an answer or a solid direction)

This game is peak if you enjoy this style of indie development, where it feels like there's going to be more features in the future that will solidify this game as a baseline for future games in this genre, but ONLY if they add those features whatever they may be.

I recommend buying it even on a 20% sale if you want to further your stalker experience without an overarching campaign with a thought out ending. You won't regret it. - October 9th 2025

I am not exactly sure how to write this, but this is now the 3rd time rewriting my thoughts on Cyberpunk 2077.

I genuinely thought this game was missing something but over my 91.3 hrs put in I realized that it was my appreciation for what Cyberpunk 2077 is that was missing.

Initially what pulled me in was the gameplay, the customization, the number of places to see and explore and when I exhausted those with my indulgent playstyle, I was left with the characters and story and that is when I started to feel that I was not playing another game, but I was stepping into a universe that felt alive where the characters I encountered genuinely surprised me and made me laugh, happy, sad.

I do not know if I want to play more now that I seen an ending I earned with V, all I know now is that after 91.3 hrs I am satisfied with this game and I would not have it any other way. I hope you feel this way as well, minus the indulgent playstyle. haha

Truthfully, I didn't expect to fall in love with this game. I am reading the book series now

Bought and traded my way to having two scorching Noh Mercy's. Lost one in a spy crab duel. 10/10 would do again
