i played this game for the first time almost two decades ago. it's not every day that you find a game from 2002 that you used to love to play and you still love playing it. this game has weathered the test of time.

It will not disappoint you at all.

Plus, the new expansion is fun!

This game got a lot of flak over the past few years because of the developers poor decision to release an unfinished game as a full release. But the past few updates has shown us a lot about Hello Games, namely that they listen to their players. The main complaints of the community were directly addressed during the last update, to add more depth and character to the game in addition to adding community hubs.

The actions of the development team show me that they truly care about the course of development of this game, and that they are not only willing to deliver on their original vision but also they are intent on listening to the community's needs. There are objectives, missions, mining, bases, research, upgrades, items, mysteries, and multiplayer.

[This game reminds me of a space-Subnautica.]

I recommend this game if you like base building, exploration, gathering, space fighting, and looking at a universe.

My only problems with this game are:
- The controls are a bit strange and sometimes unintuitive. I am looking forward to seeing if the controls get better with a gamepad over mkb.
- It seems that the economy in game is not player-driven.

Subnautica is one of my favorite games that I have ever played. It mixes the aloneness of Metroid with the ingeniuty of Terraria or Minecraft while encouraging you to solve your problems through nonviolent means. It fosters an environment of exploration and problem solving, and is absolutely captivating. I would recommend this game to every single person. 12/10.

This game is amazing. It feels like how Dungeons & Dragons would feel if it were a video game, I love this game.

Plus, I met some of the devs at their booth at Pax East, and they're really great.
