What an interesting little gem we have here! Once I booted The Shivah up, I didn't put it down until I had 100% completion. There story told within the game hooks you from the start and keeps you entralled throughtout your journey. It brings back memories of early dialog based adventure games without being terribly difficult. With a little bit of memory and some logical lines being drawn, I wouldn't see why anyone would have too much issue with completing it. The music is par for this style of game, nothing too fantastic, but also not too repetitively annoying. The main standout point for The Shivah is definitely the dialogue! The character interactions and choices presented are all very solid. I also feel this game deserves credit for the excellent voice acting.

If I was to point out a flaw in the game...if it can be called a flaw...would be that the game is pretty short. It didn't me two and a half hours to see the game in it's full capacity. Granted, I play a lot of this style of game, so I tend to move through these games fairly fluidly. Even for an inexperienced adventure gamer, I don't really see this game lasting too terribly much longer.

All in all? For $4.99? I don't feel you can go wrong picking The Shivah. At basically $1.99 an hour for entertainment, it's cheap entertainment. Cheers!

You Have to Win the Game is similar in nature to games like I Want to Be the Guy, vvvvv, Super Meat Boy, They Bleed Pixels, etc. It's a challenging 2D platformer, but not terribly challenging. Granted, there are some rooms that are pretty nasty, but overall? I would call this game more of an intro to masochist gaming. If you enjoy the aforementioned games, than you will enjoy this one as well. If games like I Want to Be the Guy have always looked fun but you thought they were too difficult to jump into, start here. Also, its free, why not give it a go?

It took me 57 minutes to win the game with a 70% completion rate on my initial blind run. Cheers ;)

Journey of a Roach is a light hearted, point and click adventure game that doesn't take itself too seriously. Point and click games have always been a favorite genre of mine, and Journey of a Roach is definitely one of the more enjoyable ones that I have played in recent times. The world within the game is bright and vibrant, the characters are pretty entertaining, and (for a point and click game) it really isn't that terrible difficult. Like most point and click games, Journey of a Roach is fairly short, but it is definitely worth replaying. I would definitely recommend this game to other point and click enthusiests, as well as people who are just getting into the genre. Point...click...love. ^_^

Another fine piece of art by Ken Gao. This really isn't so much a game, as it is more an interactive story, and the story it weaves is quite masterful. To the Moon impressed me on levels that most games don't, so I was afraid that A Bird Story wasn't going to measure up to the incredibly high bar set by Gao's first creation. In truth? It doesn't. However, that doesn't mean I didn't still greatly enjoy it. What astounds me is that even though there wasn't any dialogue throughtout the play, I never found myself needing it. Instead, I found myself narrating what was being depicted, and in an odd sense....it was incredibly satisfying. I also think it needs to be pointed out that the OST is absolutely stunning. If you liked the To the Moon OST, than you won't be disappointed here either. Do yourself a favor; buy this game, buy the OST, and just immerse yourself in it. Thank me later. It's worth every penny.
