One of the most beautiful gacha games there is! Aside from the great story and artwork it's also very F2P friendly and the company usually buffs older units in order to keep up with the meta so powercreep doesn't hit as hard as some other popular games. It isn't very time consuming which also means you can have it as a great sidegame for when you are doing other stuff!

Ill compare it with persona since that's what most people come from:

pros:
- better turn based system than persona (press turn)
- archetypes > personas (generally feel more balanced and with more variety to experiment with which is pretty cool)
- the difficulty is actually relevant and hard mode feels truly hard at times if you're not prepared something which doesn't exist in persona games (particularly the recent ones like royal or reload)
- the calendar and the ways social links level up is infinitely times better than atlus previous works

cons:
- the story felt a bit lackluster at the end and some specific story boss fights felt underwhelming

Overall I'd say you should play it if you dislike how social links works in persona and actually want a relatively challenging experience (particularly on hard/regicide modes).

10/10 it's literally SMT3 but with less bullsh*t. just finished my 1st playthrough on Canon of vengeance going for NG+ now

great game with S+ quality on everything except difficulty which is somewhat easy even on the merciless

always hated turn based games and rpgs in general this game completely proved me wrong 10/10.
