Much more optimized now and runs rather well. It's more of Elite, but now on foot. If you don't like the base game, you'll probably not like this. However, it adds some new variety to a game in need of it. "More of the same" but in a good way. I do wish things felt a little more integrated IE you could get a ship with the same functionality as the NPC piloted combat shuttles, and marking exobiology samples when in your ship/rover. Again, setting goals for yourself is the name of the game. There is no endgame except what you make. Guns feel good in this, nailing a rocket launcher on a group of hostiles before they get their shields up is very satisfying. This DLC goes on sale along with the base game rather often, and for the sale price it is well worth it.

You can drive a car over your spaceship. 10/10.

(In all seriousness, it's a fun game if you're okay with self-driven games and setting a goal for yourself. Get the DLC on sale.)

EDIT: The price dropped significantly, the new deluxe bundle is now a no brainer. What's more, this year has seen a slew of new updates including new ships, a rework of the poorly implemented Powerplay, and combat with aliens on a scale never before seen.

If you like games where learning what you can do is part of the game, this is the game for you. It's also a very good time sink game. "Just one more card, one more action." Once you do figure out what to do though, things can get a bit tedious if you loose a playthrough. If you're on the fence, pick it up on sale. The game is rather obtuse as to what you can do, but examine all the tooltips on cards as well as the symbols, and you can start to put together all that you can do.

Could this be a dog? (It's a very good game especially for a soulsborne newby like me. Can't beat a boss? Do some other stuff until you can.)

Really satisfying gameplay mechanics combined with great world building and excellent architecture.

Surprisingly well polished for an early access game that just came out. Only issue I've run into is a black screen occasionally on Fedora Linux when starting with non-OpenGL (presumably Vulkan).

Fun, free, and great with friends.

Bashing someone's head in has never been more fun. Or legal.
