Forget that its by fromsoft, forget all the fire imagery, forget the bonewheels in Mission 34. This is a mech game, pure and simple. Its the power fantasy of piloting an impossibly fast and well-armed bipedal robot against foes big, small, primitive and advanced. Its not just getting good at the game, you're a robot - change armaments and engineer your way past roadblocks against weaknesses or by making your mech hover or just charge in on wheels.

Benefits from the effective use of anachronistic game design elements like difficulty and immersive story telling.

This game is a Matryoshka doll, its genres of horror and puzzles stacked inside one another. At the innermost part, there's a fantastic core of a card game, and a secret that will take you outside of the game into the creator's own demented ARG. Decent if you enjoy some horror of the Verzephobia kind, not so great if you're into puzzles as they are quite easy to solve (not counting the ARG), and fantastic if you enjoy the card game of the MTG kind.
Note that as of Dec 2021, the creator has created a "mod" which is essentially and endless mode of the card game if you enjoyed it the most.

For the price of "Free", you have to at least check this game out. Its also a highly polished turn-based puzzle game (Sokoban-like) with above-average production in sound, artwork and even gameplay.

Probably as close as you can get to PC Monsterhunter until Monsterhunter World.

The good"
-A lot of variety when it comes to levels and the way you get around them
-The gameplay feels just as smooth as the first game
-SOME maps are incredibly fun to rush through
-The soundtrack is even better than the first one
-The story is interesting and reveals a lot about the setting while keeping the unreliable narration of the first
-The fans were ridiculously fun

The bad:
-Very glitchy, doors are wonky and people keep walking in circles for no reasons
-MOST maps are peekaboo playground
