Finally a decent battlefield title after battlefield 4 release. specially when COD is struggling hard and there's no competitive shooter game substitute in the current market. good visuals, somewhat balanced mechanics and the most important thing, the developers are listening to the players and the return of classes, removal of unrealistic skins and modern day settings are the results of that. I personally don't care about REDSEC but multiplayer is enjoyable with friends. definitely try this game out.

it's very rare that a developer aims for picturing realistic unhinged violence and grittiness in their world building and VOID did this in their pure and raw S.W.A.T simulator "Ready Or Not" game... until now. this review is not about game play mechanics or graphics or sound design. this review is about recent CENSORSHIP and GRAPHICS DOWNGRADE that the game developer decided to implement just for the sake of releasing it for the consoles. A game developers goal is to make money and this is completely understandable and encouraged. But deleting and changing the content that shaped this games identity is unacceptable. We PC players are the primary audience for "MilSim" and "realistic" genre and ruining the vibe of the game for the sake of a much more smaller audience is a wrong move. I hope someone at VOID Interactive sees this review. Just look at the recent reviews for the game and its DLCs and listen to your loyal audience. Crossplay for this type of Co-Op game is not the defining aspect. Consoles can have their censored version and us PC players can have our original version that bravely showed us how humans can be that cruel at their lowest. Revert the downgrade for the PC version. Do the right thing.

Early Access Review
This is it folks! The ultimate military simulator "Player Versus Player" you always wanted. Using the unreal engine it can bring you great graphic quality and brilliant visual effects. seriously! I've never seen better explosion effects in other games so far. and the audio is astonishing. It can literally give you PTSD when you are under heavy fire and explosions are going off around you and sharpnel and bullets are crossing over your head.

One of the most important mechanics of a multiplayer military simulator is teamwork and in this game, it's really well integrated. teams are consisted of several squads led by a squad leader, and the rest of the members will have a role that can be for example a medic, anti tank specialist, marksman or etc and the squads will work together to achieve the match's goal. and most of the times, you will encounter players that are excellent at teamwork and most of the squad leaders in licensed servers are the ones that know what they are doing and will lead their squad the right way. and the community in this game is so far one of the friendliest I've got to play with them and no matter if they are middle of the game and in a heavy fire fight, if any new player had any game related questions the players would try to help and answer them the best they can.

In the conclusion, although it hasn't been fully released, this game has lots of potential and I think it can be more successful if the dev team decide to add more content over the time like bigger maps, more factions and even add bots for co-op experience. I definitely recommend this game to anyone who's MilSim enthusiast.

More simulation mechanics and tactical gameplay than Battlefield & CoD and faster paced than ARMA & Squad. this game will satisfy both arcade shooter fans and realistic milsim fans. I definitely recommend this game for everyone looking for a decent modern day first person shooter.

BUT there's always a but...!

This game needs more optimization! at this stage, mid range PC's will have difficulty getting high amount of FPS right now. this will be fixed over time of course.

There's a good number of maps, weapons and gear after the release and developer promised more will come shortly and also mod support will help the game get more variaty of guns, gear and maps in the future.

I hope more factions will be added to the game other than the security and insurgents. as you all know, insurgency sandstorm is inspired from conflicts in syria and in reality, too many countries and factions are at war in that reigon. it would be cool if the developer add more factions over time officially.
