Half-Life Series, and the second game in particular, are so much more than just the games themselves now! The franchise has since spawned hundreds of mods, some of which are masterpieces as well (just look at Black Mesa, which started off as a mod!), amazing machinimas, and TONS of memes! I love it! Let's hope Gabe learns to count to 3! ;)

Still one of the best tactical enemy AIs out there! These bad guys can seriously kick your ass!
Turn on the hardest difficulty and experience the intense combat situations that play out differently every time (even from the same save-point)!
The graphics won't feel too dated either.

Absolutely recommend this game, especially on sale.
...and the "F.E.A.R. 3" that comes packaged into the same bundle provides a really satisfying cooperative pastime when played with a friend (on the hardest difficulty)!

But in it's own bloody-cheesy-trashy way it successfully immerses us in the adrenaline-filled awesomness of the old-school co-op FPS experience!

A couple of friends in co-op over voice chat + some snacks = an evening of superb fun!

Great classic-style shooter, where you can have tons of fun, if you can find someone to play with.
Unfortunately, this awesome game is too little-known, and too few people play it. Sadly...

It's PAYDAY, only top-down, and you have to run from guards like a little b*tch, instead of shooting them in the face with your overpowered RPG!

Seriuosly, these 91% positive reviews and 83% Metacritic score are very accurate! Get it!

So, Payday 2 feels too casual or you just hate its irrational weapon balance? Welcome to the roots!

So, here, like in PD2, we have:
- Our favorite specials:
-- Dozers: simple Dooo.... Wait, WHAT?! HE'S SPRINTIIIIIIING!!!
-- Cloakers: nothing to worry about in the silence of the night... AAAHHH!!! Get away from me! GET AAAWAAAY!!! HELP!!!
-- Tazers: just Ta-a-a-a-a-azzzzzzze-e-e-e-erzzzzz!!! ZZZ! ZZZZ!!! *on the ground, no ammo*
-- Snipers: yes, those little black dots far away out there! You mean which red lazers? Naah, that couldn't be so easy, could it?

- Difficulty levels:
-- Easy: or is it?
-- Normal: no, you really should start with easy!
-- Hard: oh, yes, you, courageous one! Heard of loud Death Wish yet?
-- Overkill: would you like your a$$ served you on a plate rare or well-burnt?
-- 145+: well, oh well!.. Now you will die! ...and die! ...and die...

And, unlike PD2:
- The FPS are great, but the network code is soooo sloooow.
- There's no wrong "bound-to-fail" setup - you can make any one work, even with a "wrong" weapon.
- Skill-trees, that you gradually unlock - feature by feature, no skipping, but you'll eventually get them all for every tree (don't forget about that <Tab + 1...4> button combination during heists).
- You have no "gray screen" for the last down before custody, but you can tell it is by the health you get back (with every down on lower difficulty levels it decreases: 75% -> 50% -> 25% -> go get your medbag heal NOW!).
- No First Aid Kits, so either you go down and hope your buddies will get you up (no Inspire either!), or screw your team's medical supplies (and get kicked for being selfish!)!
- Fast-paced raw hardcore experience, where you can only win with skill and team effort on anything harder than Normal.
- Yeah, no weapon skins!

Give this one a chance! It might just be your thing!
