I've had my eye on this game for quite some time now but was hesitant to pull the trigger due to some of the negative or mediocre reviews on Steam. I'm glad I bought it during a 50% off sale and tried it myself. I really enjoyed the plot and the characters in Confines of the Crown, but I do think it's extremely text-heavy without a lot of options. There ARE significant detours to the plot which give you a variety of experiences and story paths, but I think the text either needed to be meted out with more choices, or slightly edited to reduce click fatigue. I DO love the characters though, so I am glad I took the plunge, but maybe wait for a sale.

I'm a huge sucker for time management games and because I loved Cook Service Delicious 1, I decided to return to my days in food service with Cook Serve Delicous 2. A lot of the same elements of the game are found here. Keystroke memorization and timing are just as important as with the first game, but the complexity of dishes and the 'hold' station has definitely upped the ante in this sequel! I especially love the restaurants that you get to work in, the diner the ice cream shop, the breakfast place, etc, and their progressive difficulty as you tackle them in slightly different ways. The only thing I'm slightly let down by is the designer aspect which looked cool at first but seems a little half baked at the end of the day.

I am a huge fan of Princess Maker 2 and still to this day have a ROM version with all my saves on a USB key somewhere. When I realized I could buy Princess Maker 3 this month I was floored and excited, I'd seen the Princess Maker 2 Refine work and it was so well done that my expectations were high for PM3. And I was very disappointed.

The translation and text is atrocious, words completely cut off in the text boxes, they have missing letters, random punctuation marks and extremely awkward sentences. I'm not being picky, if you play this game for even 10 minutes you'll see how bad it is.

Full-screen is pretty much impossible, you have to play it windowed, and no matter how much I tried to tweak it, my mouse settings were always clicking on the wrong selection boxes because the tracking is wonky.

As stated below, achievements are borked. It looks pixelated and weird, definitely not quality like the PM and PM2 releases. Total pass until this is fixed. If it's fixed. I ended up getting a refund because I couldn't even get through 2 hours.

I'm only a bit of the way through, but I LOVE this game. It's definitely what others have described, a short otome style visual novel, but it's done so well. There aren't tons of decisions to make, but Rose is a very well thought-out character and each of the storylines is rather unique. She's also a strong knight who literally looks like one and these handsome bishie boys aren't afraid to talk about how much they love her strength. WIth so many VNs with eye-rollingly weak characters, this is a breath of fresh air, AND the art is lovely AND the music is good. If you can't justify $12, think about the last terrible movie you watched which cost more than $12 AND you had a $10 bag of popcorn, Rose of Winter is better than that :)

I think this was a truly enveloping game. Great narrative, actually fun to run around in. I can't say it's not worth the full price because I feel like I was told a full story, but I did only get about 2.5hrs of it and I read a LOT of notes. If it's on sale at all, get it 100% and play it because I feel really strongly about how thought-provoking and intriguing this game was. If money isn't much of a bother and you just want something that's real from start to finish, buy this immediately.

You know, I'm not usually one for free games, especially for a text-based revese-harem game, BUT I had so much fun that I helped Kickstarter the sequel so I think it's worth try if you like text-based adventure games with cute boys AND girls as your romantic options. Good job team!

I first played The Yawhg at a special game event a few years before it came out at TIFF Nexus, and even though the music wasn't finished yet and the story wasn't completed, I knew it was something special.

This is a great casual game you can hook any friend on, or simply play alone. It's a very rich choose-your-own adventure and despite the number of times I've played it, I've yet to see the same story twice. Don't get me wrong, this game is SHORT. If you play 4 characters you can finish in about 10-15 minutes, but then you play again and again.

The music is bewitching, the design is lovely and the story is your own. The only thing I wish about this game was that it was longer or had more options, only because I want to be immersed longer.
