Love it so far, a lot faster paced vs other clan campaigns. Playing expert and its actually a challenge, I had to upgrade my techs early because I was taking that much damage, compared to the regular game I didn't need to touch it until I had nothing else to use my honour on.

Had 2 tech/bugs so far. One mission an enemy mech spawned/got stuck in a building causing a fail. Also had my game freeze but audio was playing fine and I had to end task. It is time for bed so I'll retry the mission tomorrow and hopefully it was a one off.

If you liked Flash Storm, I would suggest getting this as IMO I'm enjoying it a lot so far, although I'll have to see how the story goes and if its better/worse.

While playing Vanilla is very different, I'm getting my ass kicked in the first 3 missions using the quick start career so its a breath of fresh air.

Cutscenes are much better and don't be like me, remember to get the Atlas 2 on planet Romulus

So I found this game on gamepass originally a year or two ago. Loved the game, and was super sad I missed the launch in 2021 but at least most of the DLC was out by then.

When it went on sale on steam, I went over for the mods and ended up buying a few DLC as well. The game was already good but then I found about YAML set of mods and it just made the game feel brand new.

I'm now over 500+ hours in, own every DLC and I'm counting the days to the new SoK DLC which I will buy at full price because this game has been amazing. I will literally spend hours min maxing my mechs and if Piranha can fix some of the issues that cause lag late game (each duplicate item counts as a separate item, so you have to keep selling items or risk game crashes etc) it would be amazing! But great game, give it a try and support an amazing company that won't allow me TO PREORDER DLC !!

While this is not as replayable as MW5 Mercs, the story has vastly improved and its still fun mech combat. Has a few issues still (weapon balancing mainly) but overall a pretty good 8/10 at least. The first DLC was also an improvement vs the base game so hopefully we keep getting more DLC that get better and better!

Great game and pretty addictive for tower/base building.

I work a full time job, in the 2 days since EA I now have ~14 hours and I woke up today to my index finger being stiff and in pain because of all the clicking (and I'm old).

Will I still force myself to play tonight? Do I have a problem and need help? I think the answer to both is clear.

I was thinking of refunding the game my first 2 hours, had several crashes, disconnects, and the game was a bit too easy but I decided to keep going. I started trying harder levels and once you get past the first few easy difficulties, the game is challenging but fun at the same time.

Its easy to lose track of time playing, and several steam friends I have not talked to for 5-10 years have started playing and its a blast catching up. Also fighting bugs and robots is like two entirely different games, and more races will likely be added in the future.

Still a bit rough with the amount of crashes and disconnects, and wish it had dedicated servers instead of P2P but a great game overall and a must play.

Monetization is also done really well, you can play naturally and buy premium content for free.

Fun little game like the mobile ads we see except its free and real

Its a fun co op shooter, game has been pretty good overall for an early access but as you get to higher levels/more hours played you will notice the lack of weapons/classes/modes etc. Had a few crashes the first week, but after a few patches its pretty rare now.

Overall its a great start and with the roadmap hopefully they continue to build on it and make it an amazing co op game!

Wish there was a middle option... the game took 3+ hours for me to build shaders on launch (supposed to be better now), load times are still 10+ minutes when I load my first save of the day, and I had a bunch of crashes early on, but my last few hours went by without one so maybe the patches fixed it?

Overall games pretty good, story is amazing (although the show ruins it if you watched it) but was fun overall. I spent way too much time searching every corner for supplies on hard, lots of areas with nothing in them.

AI is not the best when your doing stealth gameplay, but they aren't bad if your visible and fighting. The game is pretty old at this point to be fair.

My recommendation would be if you haven't purchased it yet, wait for a sale and let them keep patching the game to improve it in the meantime.
