Best way to describe it is like playing minecraft as a kid. Everything is new and weird and you have to figure it out all on your own. Great charm and liminal feel. 9/10.

Absolute masterpiece. Everything about this game is art- the low poly artstyle, the concept, the character interactions, finding humor in the existential and interesting secrets are all contributing factors to the beauty of this game. Definitely would recommend to anyone looking for a short, yet replayable, indie exploration. 9/10.

PROS: Dreamcore is a fantastic game for capturing a sense of liminality through the lens of gaming. The non-existent UI coupled with the design detail in each level makes you feel involved in the beautifully painted landscape. Each level feels unique and challenging in their own way, making the experience refreshing and enjoyable between each session. Though this game could be considered a "walking simulator," I feel that statement takes away from the mystery and puzzles hidden throughout each area.

CONS: The first two stages were quite easy to figure out and enjoyable to play, meanwhile the third stage Playrooms was extremely tedious and frustrating even from a challenging viewpoint. There is a certain room in this stage that took multiple hours to progress through due to it being an absolute headache of a maze to navigate. Though this takes away from the fun and ethereal aspects of the game, I did for once feel truly lost while playing. if the developers intended for this to be the case, I feel it was well crafted- but felt out of place in difficulty compared to the rest of the puzzles.

FINAL THOUGHTS: I think Dreamcore is a fantastic game with few issues, well worth the price and the developer seems passionate to create more levels for the player to enjoy. 8/10

Doesn't compare to the first game but a fairly decent and different take on this franchise, still enjoyable.

Awesome rogue-like with aspects from animal crossing, love the art style and the the characters.
