This game is boring as ♥♥♥♥. Never trust ARPG fans to give you a decent opinion on anything.

One of the very few games I keep coming back to year after year, and it just got a major QOL update.

A senior developer (Brian J. Audette) advocated for the murder of Charlie Kirk and anyone who shared his political opinions. EA never fired him, and the mods on the steam forums permanently banned anyone who brought it up. They are content trying to sweep this under the rug. Here's hoping the new Saudi ownership fires all these insane political activists.

Besides that, the game still has an absurd amount of bloom when you're ADS, just like 2042 did on launch. Instead of taking 4 or so bullets to the face to kill a guy at medium range, it takes half a mag. And classes are sex locked. If you want to play support you have to play as a woman even though the preorder skin looks like a man, he(?) still has female voice lines. All the challenges and literally every single thing in this game outside of just playing it is designed to be a second job.

The game is very poggers and fun, I'm looking forward to jumping back in when there is more content.

Game is actual ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. If your entire loop is going to revolve around combat and random dungeon crawling, at least make it fun. This is even more jank than EYE was almost 15 years ago, doesn't explain any mechanics outside of very basic things like dodging and grappling. Doesn't explain what any of the loot options do in between rooms. Combat feels extremely stilted and unresponsive, along with having terrible animations and no tells for enemy attacks that can instantly kill you. Next time don't bait and switch your fans with a Vermintide wannabe game that really has ♥♥♥♥ all to do with a cult classic.

The game is fun but the way research is gated makes playing it insufferable.

It's fun, but its longevity even with their stated final map count of 9 campaign maps and 9 skirmish maps is questionable. The devs stated on the forums that they have no intent to include official mod support despite the fact the game is running on Unreal. This is more of a neutral review currently than an outright negative one.

Game is currently broken and some bosses drop zero loot which means you can't farm legendaries from them which means ♥♥♥♥ your build.
