Battlefield 6 already has plenty of game modes to split the player base up, I don't know why they are splitting us and development resources even further on yet another game mode, especially after 2042 was universally panned for doing the same thing. The future is unwritten, but if the base game of Battlefield 6 suffers because of this Battle Royale mode, I will be very upset.

After a large, almost fatal fall that my friends didn't see, they stood around my dying corpse, holding a medkit, debating if I needed it or if " I was just too cold".

They then used the medkit on themselves while I screamed into the ether because proximity chat is turned off when you're unconscious.

10/10: Would not climb a real mountain with my friends.

Sony almost destroyed our managed democracy with their mandatory PSN account linking, but as of May 6th 2024 (AWST), they have reversed their decision, so my negative review is now a positive one because:

Aarowhead have really created something special here. From a gameplay perspective, Helldivers 2 is an solid co-op shooter that pits you against hordes of enemies with your friends in a fun and engaging way.

Whilst this doesn't sound too unique on a surface level, competent game design, fantastic world building, unpredatory monetisation and excellent community building (through major orders, our DM Joel and roleplaying shenanigans) has elevated yet another, 'could of been bog standard' co-op shooter into something much more, that I can personally see joining the other GOATs of the genre like Deep Rock Galactic and Left 4 Dead 2.

Are Arrowhead and the game itself perfect and without fault? Well no, they've had a couple missteps from either themselves, from becoming a major surprise hit and from the most egregious offender, their publisher Snoy, but in my opinion, it is impossible to ignore that Helldivers 2 is very clear labour of love that will be supported and improved upon with a burning passion for years to come.

We dive together, or not at all. So join....The Helldivers!

Whilst the core game play feels similar to COH 2 with some minor QoL improvements, and the art style/graphics are constantly debated on, the main benefit of this new entry in the franchise is how stable and smooth it runs.

There is a very good foundation that relic can continue to build on over the years and I'm excited to see where this game heads.

I really love Endless Space and thought I'd give Stellaris a go and oh boy, feel in love straight away. Has it's issues, but I keep playing it more and more, so it's hard to ignore that I enjoy it anyway.
