I have well over 5k hours in MTG: Arena, just most of them being played between dominaria and the original eldraine.

I came back with a will to spend money weekly for drafts to rebuild my collection and begin playing standard again only to be hit with a stupid avatar the last airbender card right in the face the second match i played.

after a quick search i found out that universes beyond sets will now be legal in standard and pioneer.

Well you lost me with that one.

Cheapens the game, and it turns matches into cheesy fandoms fighting each other, all for the sake of short term profit.

Voice acting is TERRIBLE
Character design is TERRIBLE, even worse than the voice acting-
the gameplay looks good but the pathing doesn't feel too good, no tutorial whatsoever kind of sucks.

This game deserves to die tbh, the developers were obviously banking on rts veterans, namely starcraft, to transfer over, this can be confirmed by the fact that the game doesn't have any handholding, even i who have reached high diamond in SC2 and have probably poured over 500 hours on it when i was younger got moderately confused by playing this game how will a completely new player feel?!

Game will be dead in 6 months, and the sad part is that this genre does have legs to stand on.

The gameplay loop is addictive, the graphics are gorgeous, and the music is fantastic — honestly, these three alone kept me hooked for hours. The core moment-to-moment experience feels great.

That said, the meta progression is painfully slow. It feels like I’m grinding way more than necessary, to the point where it risks burning me out. A faster fast-forward option (at least 5x speed) would help a lot, and ideally, the rewards should be boosted by at least 50%, maybe even doubled. Without that, progression feels like wading through molasses, which is a shame because everything else about the game is so good.

If you’re okay with a long grind, you’ll probably love it. If not, this might test your patience more than your skills.

Yeah, increase pack costs by 5x, that will go smoothly.

Take the ability to disenchant cards unless you have a full playset from us, that will go well!

I don't know which elements these marketing teams were huffing on but they must be really pleasant.
