Lucked into a bomb build really early (bomb, diamond, x2 on the 5 reels, and passives gouda, magic wand, wrench, reroll, vampirism, bounty contract) and that carried me all the way to the end. Game could get a little grindy otherwise without getting a lucky broken build, and I'm glad to have had a couple hours of fun with it.

Cute little desktop pet/idler game with decent progression to keep you going in short spurts while you work on other stuff. Thank you to the dev for being a part of Jingle Jam 2025 <3

Really reminds me of Betrayal at House on the Hill/the old Dungeon Keeper game by Bullfrog with assembling a wacky house and then dealing with intruders in a deckbuilder

Scratches the "monkey brain like when number go up" itch very well, but, at least 7 hours or so in, I'm not seeing a lot of potential for build diversity (when going into infinite scaling) if you're not all in on lemons or cherries from the start. Hopefully some build diversity gets introduced with patches to make 7s or treasure chest builds more viable (or I have yet to discover the synergies that make that happen). More often than not I find myself restarting runs quickly to fish for a cherry or lemon build starter.

Early balance problems aside, CloverPit is very well presented and just going for pulls on the one arm bandit is satisfying as heck. Recommended if you liked Balatro but wished it was a slot machine, cause that's exactly what you're gonna get.

Just as good as the main game is in terms of quality, but the DLC is ultimately a side quest type deal, and is just a good addition to the Vatican portion of the game. I took about 7 hours to 100% the DLC as part of the deluxe addition upgrade. I think it's worth the price of entry for the DLC alone. Bought the deluxe upgrade and spent a bit more just because I wanted to support a good dev making a good game.
