Community is full of toxic and bad players. If you choose to play with a bunch of friends it might be good, but if you want a good solo experience go find a different game. Literally worst than a MOBA when it comes to playing solo/dup

Dawn of the Hunt review.
Finished the campaign, lost the weekend over it. Would ask for a time refund if possible.
- barely getting drops to help you along the way
- skills are just bad
- parry and dodge mechanics are extremely bad for a game where you get swarmed by enemies that are as fast or faster than you
- if you play at a breakneck pace you might find economy exploits and not suffer any consequence
- end game maps still bad (layouts like augury still disgust me)
- GGG still refusing to admin that their current philosophy might be contrary to customer expectations
- Will maybe play for some hours this league but I tend to start to agree with some friends that told me it is smarter to wait for 1.0 and enjoy a finished game
- Will not spend one more cent until I see GGG shift their current views

Later edit (0.4.0):
- would still not recommend this game
- long, boring campaign which needs to be done every league (1st time its cool and all, but afterwards is a chore that is worse than the PoE1 one every league)
- slow gameplay for most parts of the game: slow walk, slow cast, sprinting mechanic is bad, parry mechanic is bad, blocking is bad (not the way anyone would like to redefine the ARPG genre since the reason to play is to demolish maps and bosses to get loot to make demolishing maps and bosses faster)
- melee is still horrendous
- charges mechanic is still a downside for me
- crafting is a downgrade from PoE1, but here I can see that it is a positive for newer players since the PoE1 can be overwhelming

Things I would like to see:
- accessible travel skills early on
- increased action speed for characters early on if the monster damage, density and speed is kept like the current one
- increased movement speed
- further decrease the layout of some zones/maps because WHO CARES RUNNING IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION OF THE OBJECTIVE OF THE CAMPAIGN JUST TO FIND A BLUE CHEST!
- replace parry, block and sprinting mechanics. The mechanics that actively makes your character feel clunky and interrupts you from having fun and melting maps are bad in this genre. You want to make PoE with soulslike elements? MAKE A SOULSLIKE POE GAME how Jagex made Runescape: Dragonwilds without negatively touching their main projects!

Besides the technical difficulties that were encountered at launch there are still a lot of problems with the game.
It feels very clunky, especially in combat, where it has the fluidity of a rock.

My 2 cents of the game:
- campaign is boring and I do not remember anything from it (the fact that currently you cannot respec your specialization and you need to create a new char and do part of the campaign for the specialization is annoying)
- crafting system is decent, still can be improved a lot
- merchant vs fortune factions is a nice touch for the ARPG genre, I personally like it, but it can also be further improved
- build diversity I observed is quite nice
- the UI has a huge load of bugs, but I expect those to be fixed in time

I personally played a Necromancer specialized in the Bone Golem and the campaign, the dungeons and the monoliths felt like a breeze (I quit @level 76) but became quickly repetitive.

Issues encountered with my build: Minion AI is trash, encounters with barriers will absolutely annoy the living hell out of you and the buff I needed to give my minion every minute or so a lot of the times does not apply (most likely a bug, but when it is your build enabling thing it will frustrate you a lot)

I quit quickly because I feel I have experienced the current bread and butter of the game and I do not want it to leave me disappointed. I will come back in 6 months or a year to see the status of the game since I believe it has huge potential.

Biggest pro of this game is that it still is better than D4 (my worst 100$ spent ever) by a lot, so if you enjoyed that garbage you will love this game as it is right now.
