I loved the potential of this game during Beta and release, specifically the grounded military feel. I kept returning, hoping for major updates with traditional, large-scale maps and sandbox gadgets. Instead, we got a Battle Pass, a Battle Royale that isn't fun, and the flop that is Portal.

I cannot recommend this game in its current state. As a longtime fan, I fear the executives are ignoring what the community actually wants: Conquest, massive maps, and a deep sandbox. Instead, they're forcing a "big-boy Fortnite" style on us. It’s not working for CoD, and it certainly isn't working here.

The Crucible is the single best piece of single-player content they've added. I hope they add co-op and do more like this! Have only tried Golden Horde so far, but really liking how it plays. Waiting to see how the meta develops around these civs.

BUYER BEWARE: This game has been significantly changed and does not resemble the product advertised on Steam. Screenshots and videos are from PRE-DOWNGRADE builds.

The game has had significant graphics degradations, as well as mass censorship of mission content and gore. The current version of the game is not what you see in the screenshots and videos. DON'T BE MISLEAD

EDIT: They are also using AI generated artwork in some levels.

Great graphics, and every character is fun to play. Team-ups are very strong and feel so cool! For example, Hulk lobbing Wolverine at the sky to take down a flying opponent, or Venom giving Spider-man some of his symbiote to impregnate enemies with death. It adds a lot of variety to team compositions.

There's very little queue time for a quick match (max I've experienced is 8 seconds). There's also great and informative audio queues.

Only complaint I have performance. Maybe if there were more display settings, things could be tweaked a bit more to my liking.

My favorite Total War game

For any of you who haven't played a *Total War* game yet, it basically consists of two main parts: the map and combat.

The map part is somewhat similar to Civilization, but with a twist: cities are pre-established and change hands rather frequently, which leads to dynamic territorial battles. On the map, you will manage things like public order, income, recruiting, and food. Here, you also move generals commanding retinues—groups of units attached to them. All this happens in turn-based format.

The fighting, however, is in real time with options to slow down, fast forward, or pause depending on the settings. Remember that general I mentioned? In battle, they are a fully controllable unit along with their troops from the aforementioned retinues. You will be ordering troops, making formations, and using the battlefield to your advantage. Depending on what settings you employ, generals run the gamut from leaders escorted by cavalry—a nice bonus to surrounding troops—to near-superheroes capable of charging solo and wiping out dozens of enemy troops in addition to dueling opposing generals to the death. Both ways are thrilling in their own right.

These two pieces come together in a great strategic experience that doesn't get old, even after several hours. Extra content, and it's not hard to imagine sinking 1,000 hours into this game if you love it as much as I do. Highly recommended if you are a history buff or enjoy strategy games. Art style: equally inspiring, taking into consideration every element of ancient China. Funnily enough, I was inspired to play after watching Avatar: The Last Airbender!

The New Battlefront Collection falls short of expectations due to numerous bugs encountered within the first half-hour of play. Notably, mouse sensitivity issues persist between menus and gameplay, making adjustments difficult for high DPI mouse users. Battlefront I lacks listed servers for multiplayer, while Battlefront II's 3 servers prove inaccessible. Additionally, attempting to customize controls in Battlefront II renders them unusable. Despite enhanced audio and visuals, these technical flaws detract significantly from the overall experience. Until addressed, players may find themselves disappointed by the collection's shortcomings.

Wait until it's finished....

Cyberpunk 2077 Review: A Journey of Redemption
TL;DR at the bottom

Cyberpunk 2077, a game marred by a tumultuous launch, has undergone a significant evolution since its initial release. The game's early challenges—performance issues, bugs, and a lack of immersive details—cast a shadow on its potential. Personally, encountering these hurdles during the game's infancy led me to set it aside after a mere 30 hours of gameplay, primarily due to performance struggles on my aging PC.

However, revisiting the game post-2.0 update proved transformative. Substantial improvements in performance optimization allowed me to explore Night City with newfound ease, experiencing a substantially smoother gameplay experience even on my older hardware. The once prevalent bugs had dwindled to mere sporadic occurrences, hardly impeding my progress. These enhancements unveiled the true brilliance and intricacies of Cyberpunk 2077's storytelling, enabling a deep dive into the game's richly woven narratives.

The game's open-world design offers a plethora of avenues for exploration. Upon completing the tutorial-like prologue, players are unshackled to traverse Night City freely. The main quest beckons with branching pathways, complemented by a tapestry of engaging side missions and gigs offered by fixers. This blend of main and side content mirrors the style and depth reminiscent of the "Edgerunners" anime, providing an extension of that immersive experience.

What truly sets Cyberpunk 2077 apart is its narrative depth. Side missions seamlessly interweave with the main story-line, akin to narrative episodes pulled directly from the show. Choices hold weight, defining character arcs and delivering consequences akin to real-world decisions.

However, amidst its brilliance, some missed opportunities linger. The game could benefit from a broader array of purchasable items such as apartments and cars. Additionally, the intriguing yet unexplored element of V's immunity to Cyberpsychosis deserves more narrative attention. From a technical standpoint, a few absent settings, like permanent vignettes and vehicle FOV adjustments, remain noticeable but are overshadowed by the game's overall improvements.

In essence, Cyberpunk 2077 has emerged as a compelling choice for enthusiasts of immersive single-player experiences. Its evolution from a troubled launch to a captivating journey underscores its worthiness in the gaming landscape, inviting players to delve deep into a meticulously crafted world ripe with stories, choices, and consequential gameplay.

TL;DR:
Cyberpunk 2077's troubled launch gave way to a transformed experience post-2.0 update. Performance improvements and reduced bugs unveiled the game's narrative brilliance, offering a captivating open-world with intertwined main and side missions. While lacking in certain customizable elements and unexplored story aspects, the game stands as a compelling choice for single-player enthusiasts seeking immersive storytelling and consequential decision-making.
