Fun game however, last biome feels really unfinished and the EXP requirements for the different skills are way out of hand. I aint gonna grind 10-20h just for one level of mining...

Pretty Cool game with a lot of promising aspects to it. HOWEVER, it seriously needs some changes to it's fog. It might be a cool idea on paper and makes the game more realistic in a way but after a while it just gets annoying as hell, especially while you are going on a ride with your boat. Every like Minute the Fog refreshes and makes vision literally non existant, forcing you to explore incredibly slow past your home island... pls fix

This game is honestly one of the best games i have ever played. The exploration together with a beautiful artwork, sharp and precise movement makes for a great metroidvania. Speaking of the artwork, Hollow Knight has a beautiful artwork with carefully crafted artwork on every frame of this game. The longer you look at a certain screen, the more things you will find, hiding in the background. As for exploration, this game does the aspect and satisfaction of finding something different as well as all the other good Metroidvanias. The amount of shortcuts and abilities that change the way you traverse the depths of hallownest, makes for a refreshing exploration experience. With every good game, come some amazing bosses that are supposed to challenge the player and satisfy them, once they finally beat one. Hollow Knight greatly achieves this very Feeling by giving the player a wide variety of different bosses that not only challenge the player but are also amazingly designed with different and sometimes complex movesets. It also provides the choice of fighting multiple optional bosses, which all can give you either more information about hallownest history or items used for 100% completion. Of course bosses are not the only enemies you will encounter within Hollow Knight. There are a lot of different enemies to be found within Hallownest, some more passive than others and some more hidden. Each one of these hold different stories and perception of the environment around them. There are not only harmful entities found within Hollow Knight however. Some characters are used to talk about their life, others are important for getting to know Hallownests history, while others are important characters that the protagonist will meet throughout his adventure. Lastly i would like to talk about the areas that we can find in this game. There is a variety of different areas with different astethics, enemies, items, platforming etc. . Each of them is beautiful for what it is and each one achieves the emotion it wants to transmit.

Critique: Since no game is perfect, I'll have to point out a few problems with the game, meaning that i will not hold back on any spoilers for the game. My only significant problem with the main game (no dlc) is that some of the Warrior Dreams feel really uninteresting and boring on some occations. One of these examples is Marmu, he/she is basically a tennisball with 0 creativity in movesets. Another minor concern is the fact that you have to Re-fight the Hollow Knight every time you want to enter the Radiance fight. While it's not as annoying as it may sound, it's still not the most perfect solution.
