I have never played a racing game where I've had to spend more time in the game settings just to make the game have proper inputs than actually driving. Music seems great, graphically lovely, but an absolute mess of a port.

A very peaceful game let down by some unintuitive late game mechanics that can turn something rewarding into something frustrating very easily.

In the final stage of a map you clean up the pieces you laid down, however due to only having one undo option, you can very easily find yourself having softlocked yourself due to some placement of tile, like power lines, or something too far from access that isn't clearly explained or displayed earlier in the round, which can cause you to re-do an entire hours work.

Flawed but lovely when it cooperates.

I feel like from music and art style alone, this might be remembered as one of the pillars of the y2k revival style, in the same way blood dragon and hotline miami is remembered when it comes to synthwave.

Gameplay wise, while it doesn't have the same kind of difficulty spikes as the jet set games it continues its soul from, it avoids them by being more carefully designed to avoid unnecessary ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and rough edges.

Story wise - if the term cyberpunk wasn't already synonymous with neon glows, blade runner rain, and people with robot arms, this would be considered taking a (if slightly cartoonish) closer chain of intent to the formative novels of the genre, even if it's more funk than punk, something I admire them sticking their foot out on to be their own thing to a greater degree.

Team reptile has definitely shown how small projects can lead to big statement pieces, and while not a masterpiece, I can't wait to see what they do next.

Great game, different from the first, but the DRM shenanigans are unacceptable.

for those that do not know, the latest update in this game installs an anti-cheat service that runs at kernel level.
There is a reason we moved away from this kind of drm 10-12 years ago, as it can cause immense issues such as system insecurity and instability.

until this game removes this DRM, I do not recommend it.

An entertaining, unique take on the clicker style game.
The art direction is lovely any minimalist, the music is calming, head bopping and almost micro-funk like and that goes for the rest of the sound design, with each click and button having its own distinct sound.
the writing is very hitchhikers-esque, and I mean that in a good way as it's quirky, humorous and kept going longer than i expected it to.

if you like clickers, electronic music and silly sci-fi, i'd reccomend giving this game a look.

This game might seem like an interesting alternate take on history, decent and varied shooting and a gripping storyline to boot, but it isn't.
the game itself is buggy, graphical errors, hit detection problems, constant crashing and framerate issues hamper the gameplay, at least before my save ended up being corrupted.
the story is bland, shallow and fairly meh. times that should seem tense convey a mood of slight importance. characters are weak and easily forgettable.
and as for history? most of the history in it consists of slight twists on the pseudo-60's style aesthetics of suburbia and life, even though the entire game takes place in a bunker
