Great game and I definitely enjoyed playing it, If you are a long time doom fan or new to the franchise I think you would definitely enjoy, however, this game is just not on the same level as Doom Eternal and Doom 2016.

My positives - Very lore heavy game, cinematics were cool and the characters were very fun to watch and I feel like Dark Ages provides a lot to the story of doom. Sound effects were really good mainly the weapon sounds and I liked the variety of new enemies and innovative new weapons along with having seemingly a bit more freedom than the other doom games to explore and interact with side objectives/collectables.

My negatives - One of the huge driving forces for myself and others to play doom is the soundtrack. This soundtrack, although enjoyable and having the trademark grittiness of doom music just didn't hit the same as Mick Gordon's material on 2016 Doom and Doom Eternal and the treatment of Mick was just straight up wrong. (I encourage anyone who hasn't looked into it to do so). The removal of glory kills and replacement with the kinda lame shield "executions" just didn't sit right with me, just felt like such a downgrade, glory kills were such a trademark of the doom combat system. Probably the most disappointing part of the game for me however was the Atlan and dragon gameplay. What seemed like awesome new features in the trailers just felt like they fell flat and were really lazily developed. Definitely had the potential to enhance the cool factor of the game tenfold but id software seemingly really fumbled in this aspect of the game.

All in all enjoyable experience but I dont think I will be going back and grinding for collectables/achievments like I did in the other doom games. The game is obviously geared up for a dlc which I think will be Valen's betrayl story. Looking forward to how that plays out considering how good Eternal's ancient gods dlc was.

Very enjoyable game, combat takes a bit to get used to but it is somewhat of a step up from the generic 3rd person melee combat. Interesting story along with very nice graphics and scenery. The only thing would have to criticise about this game is the price. Singleplayer does not take long to complete and the multiplayer is quite lacking as most 3rd person multiplayers are. Henceforth why I don't think it's worth the 20 bucks. Overall though would defenetly reccomend if you can get it on sale.

Early Access Review
First of all, This game was so extrememly overhyped when it was released, and never seemed to live up to anyones expectations. It has been in alpha for 3 years and honestly the fact that the mod STILL years later has more features than the standalone game is absolute ridicule. There is still not a single thing that encourages players not to kill others on sight which was a promised implementaion along with countless other features which are still not in the game. And no matter how much the devs will try and convince us otherwise, the game at its core is broken and will surely die out in another few years.
In conclusion: I have had some great times on Dayz, and I will always remember them, but I believe this game is nothing like what is was promised to be, and it probably never will be. Buying it now will most likely be a waste of your money and at some point you will regret it, thanks for reading.

Pros: Can be enjoyable if You interact with players, realistic living system (eating, drinking, etc) loads of cool guns, Really fun when playing with a group of friends

Cons: Millions upon millions of bugs and glitches, 80% of all people will shoot you on sight without a thought because there is no reason not to, loot spawns are STILL inconsistent and bugged, vehicles are EXTREMELY glitchy, combat system is extremely flawed due to desync (can't remember the last battle i had without someone teleporting behind a wall), and zombies are STILL glitchy and inconsistent.
