This game is great - coming in fresh, the points mentioned in many negative reviews just don't seem to be as much of a problem as they sound.

The game appears to be under active development so things are likely to change again soon, but most likely for the better.

Watch out though: this isn't a power fantasy game like Helldivers! You're meant to feel small and vulnerable as you dart between squads of soldiers and mechs duking it out over their battlefield, and this game does that really well.

"Easier" than SnowRunner but still great fun, and getting better all the time.

Muddy road? Put sand on it. Want to get on top of that cliff? Giant mountain of sand. Swamp too deep? FILL IT WITH SAND

The best VR flying game by an ENORMOUS margin.

This is the Dark Souls of flight sims, in that after playing VTOL VR no other flying game will ever feel the same. It's got DCS-like depth, but at a fraction of the cost; and there's even War Thunder-like PvP if you want it, without the deeply troubling feeling that you're being punished for irredeemable crimes committed in a past life.

Don't be intimidated though! It's easy enough to pick up, and there are lots of people willing to help you get started.

PS. "Which DLC should I buy first?"

Not perfect but still extremely good.

Don't let reviews about "the grind" put you off: Remnant 2 is perfectly enjoyable in a single run (ideally with friends) - you just won't technically see or collect everything, and that's ok!

Remnant 2 is (well, both Remnant games are!) absolutely packed with little secrets and every time you stumble across one is a delightful experience, consistently rewarding curiosity. Before long you'll have so many rings and amulets and different stats to put points into that your character will look and play almost nothing like your friends'!

Once you've got to grips with the game a bit (wait until you've at least unlocked "Adventure Mode"), it's worth dipping into the wiki(s) just to give you an idea of what you might have missed, and you just might catch the spark for replaying worlds to go item hunting, to see what happens when you make different choices, or just to experience content you didn't catch the first time.

To whet your appetite: there's at least one example of a reward that's only available on your THIRD run of a world, an awesome weapon locked behind a puzzle that takes seven hours to solve, and a super-secret Backrooms level that takes multiple entire playthroughs to access.

I love it!

The latest update takes Blade & Sorcery from "that sandbox game that blew you away when you first got VR (but that you quickly got bored with)" to a really fun experience.

One nitpick I have at the moment is that enemies seem to sneak up or just appear behind me all the time, they need louder footsteps or something.

Still lacking a little in replayability because the environments get same-y after a while, but it's absolutely worth picking up (or getting back into if you first played a long time ago)!
