Good port of a great action RPG. Audio and visuals hold up well, the 2D-skits and animations are timeless but even the CG doesn't look too bad, and the artstyle continues to shine if you can manage to look past the low texture resolution. Combat mechanics still feel surprisingly modern even today, certainly if you compare the game to its predecessor in the series.
At the point of writing I am just about to start the final dungeon of base game and have so far experienced one single crash to desktop. The game autosaves fairly frequently so even if you are not paranoid about hitting every save point in sight like myself, you should be alright.

10/10 except Kurt, that bastard can ♥♥♥♥ off

Mindless destruction for no other reason than the sheer sake of it. That pretty much sums up this game perfectly and has provided me with many dozen hours worth of entertainment thus far. Also, it has some of the best flying mechanics I have ever experienced in a video game, and I am not talking about planes or helicopters.
From a technical perspective this game is fine. Graphics are holding up surprisingly well and the overall gameplay is about as smooth as you would expect. Issues with fullscreen modes and the SE always online connectivity ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ slightly dampen the fun but can be worked around.
