Run around as a deformed farmer clone to KickNSlap anything you see.

Couldn't get multiplayer to work, but not to worry -- Picolas Cage came to the rescue! I KickNSlap'ed him all over the place before getting tossed by a giant turd meteor.

10/10 would buy again.

I just started this game recently. And I'll stop it quickly too. The basic game design seems to have been created like this: "What would happen if we took the success of Puzzle Quest, added microtransactions, and then focused the interface on touchscreen phones." I just can't enjoy the game, and I've tried on both my Steam account and on my phone.

This is a good game for a few hours of play. I don't know how best to describe, but the game simply draws you in. There's no direct linear path, so the game just lets you wander and explore as it gradually unveils its story to you. I beat it years ago, but I still appreciate it and would recommend it today.

They're moving away from this. The creators are looking to charge a subscription fee for a web-based system. Instead of purchasing desktop software once, they want to charge the cost of desktop software every year and provide a website.

No thanks. I won't be using their subscription, and I recommend you don't either.

Owned this game for a long time prior to Steam. I have never regretted the purchase.

This is a very well done roguelike.

It's complex, yet doesn't ever leave the player wondering. Every detail has explanations that explain the effects; for example, leveling up primary stats (eg, vitality, strength, etc) will show the effects on secondary stats (eg, crit chance, health, etc).

Players are encouraged to play in order to unlock additional races, classes, game types, etc. In my first run, I stumbled across a zoo -- and died shortly after. However, I unlocked the summoner class because I had come across a zoo.

In another play through, I finished the first quest and headed to the town. In town, I agreed to fight 3 elite warriors in order to prove myself worthy of the arena. I was afraid that I would die again -- after all, I was doing so well in this run. It paid off because winning unlocked the Arena game mode.

I would add that he vast number of achievements also helps replayability, except that there are over 1300 achievements. This will be pretty frustrating for anyone looking for 100% achievement completion.

The only part of the game that is lacking is the graphics; though that comes with the territory in a roguelike. Despite every item, monster, spell icon, and basically the entire game fitting into a square-sized sprite, there is still a lot of variety: Player icons seem to change based on equipment and active spells.

Having played the original "The Typing of The Dead" game, I was disappointed that this was missing a few of my favorite features from the original.

Most prominent of the missing pieces is the lack of keyboards in the cutscenes. It was cheesy and hilarious to watch agents with dreamcasts strapped on their backs, keyboards hanging at their chests. This game, sadly, does not sport any keyboards in the couple levels that I played. Instead, the game depicts guns...

Similarly, I didn't see any god hands powerup. The ability to pound/mash keyboard buttons and "magically" get 100% accuracy (while powerup was active) was very fun. None of my friends could believe the ridiculousness of a typing game that didn't actually teach typing/grade on accuracy. Again, I didn't find any such power up in this version.

Regarding the content that the game has, it's okay. I wouldn't recommend the full price for a gag game. It comes with a port of the House Of The Dead: Overkill game, if you want to play without typing.

When playing with typing, I end up spamming the tab key in between words to make sure that I don't miss any of the collectible pick ups (poster art, sound tracks, etc), and that gets pretty tedious very fast.

This game is one of the best casual games I've played. It has different types of minigames and replay value in some of the storyline choices. When I first purchased this game, I was playing for hours. Of all the variations (Puzzle Quest: Galactrix, Puzzle Quest 2, etc) this one is still the best, but the others are also quite fun.
