One of my favourite games. The combination of taking it easy traversing the ocean looking for copper nuggets, versus very dark and spooky parts of the map, is something very unique. I can play this to relax and at this point I know exactly when it gets intense, so to me it's perfect. I also much recommend Below Zero for a more tight, compact experience. I feel like the last part of Subnautica drags a bit, but the ending is worth it.

My favourite game of the year. Such a simple premise but amazingly executed. The story is captivating and filling in the gaps that aren't visible on the corkboard really helps you to paint a picture and solve the puzzle. The way the early internet is used as a limiting factor is very well done, and I really liked how technology was considered in each tool. For example, you can search in your browser history but not in the notebook. And speaking of the notebook, it's probably my favourite implementation of any deduction game.

Splendid game, I still have to try the free expansion and I'm excited to dive back in!

Solid spiritual successor to SWAT 4, delivered surprisingly well on all its goals.

It's becoming slightly less edgy for console / age rating purposes, so that's nice too.

It's a great game, BUT I'm pretty disappointed by the technical stability of both this and Metro 2033 Redux, which share most of their bugs. I had no audio whatsoever from the back when playing stereo (including cinematic dialogue where I couldn't turn around), in some parts of the game getting hit would cause me to irreversibly take off my gasmask and not be able to put it on again, I had a crash every 1-2 hours, and stuff like that which made it tough to play sometimes.

That aside, I think this is a nice experience. It's a charming story, with better delivery and more to-the-point than in the first game in my opinion, and it absolutely breathes atmosphere. It still looks great, and it's very immersive. I have some issues with the "Ranger Hardcore" mode, like that there is 0 info about QTE's, and that it just causes you to spam "E" everywhere to see if you can pick stuff up, but perhaps I'm a minority there. Definitely would recommend overall. :)

Now onto Metro Exodus!

The representation of the oil rig and the Scottish vibes are enough to recommend this game. To respond to some other reviews: don't expect Lovecraftian world building here. The story is about a crew of close-knit blue collar workers who are under peril. I loved the execution, you are never slapped around the ears with story, but the banter and references are believable and add a nice layer to the story.

Gameplay wise, it's just a well executed running, jumping and hiding game. It's easy on the brain and just a great journey to traverse the deep and nasty corridors of the rig.

Amazing game. It's one of the most intuitive tactics games I've encountered, and fits perfectly between a puzzle feeling and the feeling you get when you see a perfect operation executed in a movie. Gameplay-wise though, it's a perfect sequel to an already golden formula. The transition to 3D is very well done and every new feature feels fitting, such as destructable walls, debris flying around, and more (?) distinction between different heights of cover. There is also more gameplay variety with covert units that act incognito until they "go loud", which plays exactly as cool as it sounds.

I kind of wish they would have chosen another theme than setting it in a country literally named "Nowheraki", since it feels very "kill everyone with a turban", but I believe they have included local police units to counter this a bit. I will have to play some more to reach a verdict there, but I did want to mention that it feels insensitive as a first impression.
