I'm not even huge on competitive FPS titles, but for FTP, The Finals is extremely addicting with friends. Love the different game modes, destructive environments, and pure chaos.

Has easily become one of my favorite games and my friends and I tell stories about adventures we've had years later.

Early Access Review
Looked relatively fun but after about 20 min of trying to figure out the controls and bare-bones mechanics, struggling to put things in my car and get out of the garage, then realizing that I'll I'd be doing nothing but driving with extremely slippery controls until I ran into a random watch tower or similar with almost nothing in it, I couldn't motivate myself to continue.]

If a lot of content is added and the gameplay and graphics are refined, with less bugs, then would potentially recommend.

By the end I filled up a 4 gallon bucket with my tears.

I've tried multiple times to get it to work on Windows 10. I've followed hours worth of tutorials and nothing seems to work. I've tried mods, patches, everything. I can't recommend this wonder game until Steam bothers to release a playable version instead of keeping broken content on the store.

I wish there was a "neutral" option. Part of what made the original from the 90s somewhat enjoyable was the Doom-clone graphics and the Capitalist absurdity and the surprise of discovering an entire PC game in a cereal box, but the HD 3D graphics combined with playing it under much different circumstances just didn't do it for me. But, if you like the new graphics, the update seems competently done.

Since the Fallout 76 beta launched, after feeling nearly addicted to the anticipation, I've had a love/hate relationship with the game because of the...problematic launch, to say the least.

After surviving the gauntlet of simply getting the game to work and install properly through Bethesda's launcher, I saw the light of App-a-latch-a--granted, with atrocious motion blur and other visual anomalies that looked like grimy mayo encrusted on the screen, causing literal illness after long play sessions. But, once I went into the INI and fixed the visuals, despite all the bugs and lack of polish, I found something about the depressing solitude and camp building...peaceful and relaxing...in a bleak, Mathesonian kind of way.

Whether due to Stockholm Syndrome, false hope, madness, or a bit of all three, I stuck with it, enjoying some of the lore but feeling lonely due to the lack of NPCs and difficulty in connecting with other players. An odd foreshadowing of 2020.

At this point in isolation, with the game becoming incredibly fun--containing both Wastelanders and Steel Dawn Part 1 (the latter having a great take on the Brotherhood), I am convinced that Fallout 76 has a kind of...parasitic relationship with the world.

The better the game becomes inside, the worse it becomes outside. It's the only explanation.

Would be decently fun for an indie game I got in a bundle, but the camera is completely broken. The camera moves quicker than the character can keep up, meaning you can't see where you're going half the time, which means precision is impossible when you're trying to dodge anything.

Not terrible (especially for a free title), but the hitboxes are just too innacurate in a genre that demands absolute precision. Especially since this one is totally relentless in throwing patterns at you with seemingly no way to pass through.

I wish I could pick something beyond the binary of "yes" or "no." This game has incredible animation, visuals, atmosphere, and sound design, but the game mechanics are incredibly cryptic. Even with a guide, I found traversing the world very tedious and frustrating. However, I do wish I could pick something closer to "nuetral" on my stance, since this type of game isn't typically my favorite (despite loving the art style), and it may be better suited for those that enjoy cryptically difficult puzzle/adventure games.
